Beatrice "Bee" Malone is a former resident of the Gene House. Though too old to remain a ward of the state, she visits every day to see her boyfriend until he's old enough to move out. Getting to tease Chloe is just a bonus. While she is waiting for him to come of age and be ready mentally and emotionally to get really intimate with him, that doesn't stop her from "practicing" frequently with other people.
Bee met Chloe when the little bat morph first came to the gene house. Bee was still living there at the time. She was all set to be nice to the little brat, honest! One day right in front of one of the strictest caregivers Chloe, in all her innocent curiosity, asked her why she smelled like three different people instead of just one.
Nobody knows who her parents are. She was brought to the house by a robot.
Bee studied robotics in community college and now works as the only biological employee overseeing and providing maintenance for the worker bots in a local warehouse. Mostly. When she's not inviting people to her office. She has a sentimental attachment to the worker bot who brought her to the safety of the orphanage and wishes desperately to give it at least some sentience if not full-on sapience. She has more than enough technical know-how, but she knows it would be miserable working its life away in the same repetitive routines. Also, introducing free-thought algorithms into its kernel without the warehouse owner's knowledge could very easily get her fired.
The genetics that Bee inherited are pretty tame compared to most. She doesn't get as much shit as many others would, not that she would take it anyway. Becuase of her horns, the occasional hyper-religious bigot will throw some hate her way. It's mostly the extremist baseline purists she has to look out for.
