A rabbit-like biped with a transparent bluish terrarium-like head, Bunly wears a pink sweatshirt with stripes on the sleeves and a thick collar that has a yellow bell hanging from it. Their "head" is full of plants that may or may not know how to speak. They have no visible "hands," and their feet look like rabbit paws. They also have wings with a similar pattern of color gradation as their legs. Their knees have stars on them as part of their patterning. Outside of the terrarium, there is a lone shoot sprouting from their "head" between their ears; it often wobbles and/or hums when they are excited.

As they do not communicate verbally, it is easy to write them off as unobtrusive; however, they are quite demonstrative physically and have lots of practice communicating with their less-than-stellar resources. The terrarium and plants tend to "hum" at a low frequency at times, often to emphasize a point. They spend a lot of time gesturing with their arms and wings, hopping, and generally being very obviously present.

A rather ill-advised science experiment, Bunly ended up much more self-aware and sufficient than their creator intended.

The initial idea was simply to create a self-sustaining ecosystem inside the terrarium; however, the ecosystem became sentient due to inexplicable lab circumstances. As this was, unfortunately, before animal experimentation became less common, several modified rabbits were similarly involved, as well as at least one pigeon.
