Singularities [misfits & aberrations]

As the name suggests, these are all "singular"; there are no others like them anywhere. These are classified like this because the circumstances that precipitated their creation are likely not possible to recreate.

They're probably the results of some combination of the below options: experimentation haywire magic eldritch meddling

Immortals [humans & human-affiliators]

These are classified this way because they typically "manifest" based on an event, strong emotion, or location. They are often associated with multiple things, and can be considered "patrons" of them. More like trickster spirits than gods.

They are, essentially, the personification of their triggering factor; as such, they range from malevolent to benevolent, and often bounce between the two--depending on their current situation.

Manifestations [animal & object creatures]

These are classified this way because they typically "manifest" based on an event, strong emotion, or location. They are often associated with multiple things, and can be considered "patrons" of them. More like trickster spirits than gods.

They are, essentially, the personification of their triggering factor; as such, they range from malevolent to benevolent, and often bounce between the two--depending on their current situation.

Monsters [humanoids & anthropomorphs]

Naturally (or not!) occurring creatures. Often tend to be "stewards" of the place that they decide to live--for better or worse.

Typically benevolent, but not universally so. The label of "monster" tends to refer more to their composite human/animal form, rather than any judgement of their morality or danger level. Most of them tend to avoid humans, and have thus gone mostly unremarked for centuries.

They are not classified as singularities simply because they could likely occur again, either through a replicable circumstance or by reproducing.

Dragons [including drakes & the like]

These are several different dragons; sadly, none designed by me.
I should really draw out my dragons sometime, huh...
