Thomas Shiinatos's Links
Thomas sees Jacob as a very precious person to him. The guy is intelligent, calculating and handsome to boot. His judgemental tendencies are an annoyance but Thomas knows the guy is working on that. What's most important to Thomas is being able to freely talk to him about anything - from school to familial issues. They had quite the rocky start, but now Thomas counts himself lucky that he has Jacob in his life. He's not quite aware of all the complications their relationship brings due to their familial differences, but he trusts whatever Jacob has to say and is trying his best to keep it under wraps from any descendants outside of their acquaintances.
Thomas was the person who turned Jacob's world upside down. For years, he struggled with romantic feelings for the Shiinatos but after a certain incident, he ended up blurting out his true feelings. Now, Jacob feels happier in Thomas' company than he ever has before. Though Thomas may be insufferable at times, Jacob is truly fond of him and his honest attitude. Although he still has his reservations, he is happy to be able to have Thomas by his side and wishes to protect him with his life.
Thomas is friendly with Michael. He frequently visits the art rooms during his free time in school to chill with the guy because his personality is like welcome breath of fresh air. Thomas was very surprised to see that Michael would freely use his powers to any benefit of him, but because of that, he feels at ease in his company compared to that of other certain descendants.
Michael is incredibly fond of Thomas, mainly for being the one to throw so much chaos into Jacob and Olivia's lives. He has a vague understanding of the difficulties Thomas goes through being a member of the Shiinatos family but still insists that the guy needs to chill out and not get so worried about it.
Scott is a trusted friend to Thomas. They've been in the same form ever since Year 7 but Thomas never really paid much attention to him. He's grateful that Scott treats him with some normalcy after the entire predicament of everyone finding out that he didn't know about the twelve families. He's always in awe of Scott's drawing skills and loves to watch him draw during form time.
Scott sees Thomas as a trusted confidant. He's surprised by Thomas' sheer tolerance of the things that happen around him and no less respects his attitude. Scott likes Thomas' company and really appreciates that the Shiinatos takes the time to look out for him every now and then.
Thomas is very friendly with Blake. They see each other a lot, being in the same Maths and Chemistry class and Thomas frequenting the school library in his free time. Although Blake is a little quiet, Thomas is interested in what he has to say (also he's one of the few people he can nerd about chemistry advancements with). Thomas is in awe of Blake's mastery over his powers, and he struggles to believe the general stereotype about the Eldutulid as a result of Blake's behaviour.
Blake likes Thomas, with the guy being the first friend he'd made upon moving to England. He was initially wary of the Shiinatos, but Blake was carried away by Thomas' straightforwardness and they ended up growing close purely because of the amount of time they spent with each other. Blake doesn't regret this though, he's grateful for Thomas' friendship, and his attention isn't nearly as overbearing as that of some of the others.
Thomas is not very appreciative of the way Jessica treats him. He tries to be friendly with her, but aside from the occasional banter, he doesn't really get on that well with her at all. He is mindblown by her overwhelming power, which has shown its worth in more than a couple of scenarios. He'll never live down the time she princess carried him across a river.
Thomas doesn't make much of an impression on Jessica, she mostly thinks of him as your typical teen nerd and doesn't see much merit in interacting with him. After he awakened his powers, Jessica began to view him more as a form of entertainment, although for the most part she'll still ignore him.
The two of them go back a fairly long way, living in the same town together ever since Thomas used to live with his grandfather. Thomas can't believe the luck that they both ended up moving to the same town in Blackpool, but he doesn't question it. He greatly admires Leon's strength and overall charisma during sports and he knows that he can count on the guy to get something done.
An old childhood friend of his, Leon naturally cares for Thomas a lot. He holds him in high respect for being able to deal with what the world has thrown at him after awakening to his powers. Leon wasn't nearly as surprised as the others when the fact he was unaware of the twelve families came to light - he'd had his suspicions for a long time but kept quiet out of respect. He seems to see Thomas as being a reliable guy but that sentiment isn't really shared by the others.
Thomas is very fond of Grace. He feels energised just being in her presence, although he struggles to keep up with her half the time. Thomas appreciates massively how open and accepting she is and, in return, tries his best to keep her out of trouble.
Grace had always been wary of Thomas before knowing about his circumstances - when she did hear about them, she was instantly forgiving and sought to build a fresh new friendship with him. She loves talking to him and is always quick to rush over whenever she sees him.
One of Thomas' closest friends. He really enjoys Edward's company, feeling comfortable in teasing him every now and then and throwing banter around. Thomas is jealous of the Fortonnen's powers, wishing his own were something he could practically use in everyday life.
Edward has a great appreciation for Thomas' personality. The Shiinatos is incredibly kind despite the hardships he's been put through and Edward feels as though he could confide in the guy about almost anything. He hopes he can open up more to him in the future.
Never really paying much attention to her until after he awakened his powers, Thomas was surprisingly quick to become friendly with her. He appreciates how open she is when talking about descendants and familial topics, and generally finds her a delight to be around. Tends to have trouble keeping his mouth shut around her however, leading to frequent bullying from Evie.
To Evie, Thomas is an individual who never fails to pique her curiosity. She was vaguely aware of his circumstances from the beginning, but never brought it up, wanting to wait and see what would happen when it finally came to light. Evie is more than happy to talk to him about familial matters since he brings such entertainment to her daily life.
