STORY
Karkas' past is a bit shaded in mystery. He was born in a land where few have ever travelled and made it out alive. A land of death and misery. Karkas' father, the King of Crows had a child with an unknown woman who soon disappeared after giving birth to Karkas. His father, a flighty, arrogant man, raised his son by creating Freela to babysit him while he ignored responsibilities. Once Karkas turned fifteen, his father vanished and never returend to their home. Karkas made the decision to leave his home in order to explore the world. Unfortunately, being raised by a narcissistic man child had an effect on him and he became frivilous much to Freela's horror. He traveled with her until deciding to become a thief to survive. He ended up stealing an artifact from a merchant that was on its way to the nearby Kingdom and was swiftly hunted down by two of the palace's Court Magus' who apprehended him rather quickly. Then he was thrown into a cell to await his trial. That's when he sees Zeras on his way out and notices that he's cursed. He decides to chat the young man up to try to escape his fate and surprisingly it works and he is let out. After failing to escape Zeras after his release, he relents and actually decides to make an effort to help Zeras get rid of his affliction. The two travel together as an odd pair gathering information and completing quests for extra cash.
ZERAS
A court Magus that sprung him from jail and made him his traveling companion. He is a silent boy with a sour attitude most of the time who often assaults Karkas when he gets upset. He is trying to cure a curse that was put on him by a powerful demon who attacked the Council members. Zeras and Freela get along quite well much to Karkas' bewilderment because he cannot understand how anyone could stand "that cow" as he so lovingly calls her. He has a cursed side that comes out when he's close to death or in deep slumber that Karkas finds interesting.
FREELA
A demon born to serve Karkas. She refers to him as "milord" and refuses to leave him alone. She likes to appear as a beautiful woman but her true form is quite horrendous and she doesn't like revealing it to people. Her sole duty is to protect Karkas with her entire being and she would rather die than fail at it. She is very motherly and likes to lecture Karkas on his vulgar behavior quite often. She resides in a large crow skull that is usually resting on Karkas' head.
RENSI
A rough girl who lives in a small village and is well acquainted with medicine and is a talented blacksmith. She travels around to nearby towns in order to help people out in need and stumbles across the odd sight of Zeras trying to patch up a hollering Karkas. She helps them and they become friends kind of. They come to visit her for treatment if they are in the area or she comes to them. She's very tough, boisterous and is seemingly not afraid of anything and she carries a sword and her dog, Corpo, on her trips; taking no shit from anyone.
