Siblings: She has effectively disowned him at this point. She sometimes wonders if he's even sober enough to realize she's gone, but it's a very fleeting feeling. Why should she dwell when given such a gift by the goddesses as a whole new start?
Siblings: He knows that siblings often have their differences and squabbles, but Mara's treatment of him was on a whole other level. He feels, deep down, he deserves all the rejection and hurt because he was never able to make her happy enough to be a better person. He also knows, even deeper down, that it's not the case at all. He often drinks to numb his contradicting feelings.
