Summary

while the dragon god scoured the valleys
the unicorn god laid carefully at rest.
they looked down upon the world and knew
true magic would lie in the simplest of places.

they searched village after village for a dreamer
crossing seas and traversing continents
only in the largest of them all to find
two inventors who waited for
their new family to be born.

with a small glimpse into her future
they knew she was the one they had been searching for,
the other half to the whole, the one who was a changing soul.

and so the unicorn god made their choice
and so this dreamer had a voice.

{history}

- A human girl born to two arcanists (magic scientists) on the largest continent.  Zora loves her family; they made her want to become an inventor!  basically the ultimate role models
- At the age of 15 went on a research expedition (by herself) to the cold continent to the north.  she actually had a good relationship with a nearby selkie population; unlike the kingdom-funded arcanist organization Hydrawatch she checked if everything was okay the selkies first.  she also knows the horror of gytrashes attacking firsthand if the natural concentration of magic around these parts is messed around with by non-natural means.
- At some point of time while on this cold continent, finds a dragon egg around a huge concentration of magic.   a member of Hydrawatch wanted to get to it first and tried messing around w the magic (will clarify later).  this backfired and caused an accident where zora ended up fused with the dragon egg.  this gave her an elf-like appearance and heightened her abilities to the point where she didn't need to use glasses anymore and she gained light-related powers (purification!), as well as being very sensitive to magical energies.
- Hydrawatch wanted to experiment on her, but the selkie leader stepped in (mainly because they had been communicating in secret with Amity, a leviathan who claimed the world was about to fall into chaos because of the waning strength of the Gods).  she helped Zora out as she helped them, and sent her to various native populations on the cold continent to learn how to harness her powers, and also practice archery.
- CONFLICT: Zora feels ashamed to go home, she's just been sending letters to her parents and pretending that everything is okay and that she's just deep into research.  they're unaware of the accident that happened.
