Backstory
Hien is a pho shop owner with Dissociative Identity Disorder (DID). During the day he works on his shop; cooking and serving food to customers, and takes care of his son. But when night comes around he "switches" to his other personality. They both are aware that the other exists through clues around them but haven't met each-other directly or are both not present at the same time.

Hien during his night personality is heavily into dance culture. He is a B-Boyer who likes the thrill of competing. Eventually he ends up wanting to make his own group and starts one with Marcello, another B-Boy dancer. Hien goes to register their group as a clubbing gang to fit with the amount of other local gangs in the area but didn't expect to fill the gang's name at the spot. Going by his spontaneous choices, he names the gang after the first object he could see and went with it. Thus lampshades was born and Hien went with the nickname Shade to fit with as leader. Marcello chose the nickname Mambo. The rest of the members that joined later, with the exception of a few, created nicknames for themselves that'd match the silliness of the gang's name.

Both personalities have a routine where Hien shows up in the day and Shade shows up at the night but as he gets older and his DID worsens, either of them can show up regardless if it's day or night. It starts out with it rarely happening but it gets more frequent. After a couple of years; Hien decides enough is enough, and in agreement with Shade through notes, seeks help for his condition at an in-patient hospital where he would stay for a long time. Mambo takes over the gang and along with the other members choose to disband and go their separate ways.

Relationships
Lampshades Gang - Leader. Organizes what battles they participate in with Mambo co-managing.

Marcello/Mambo - Friend; one of the first to find out Hien has DID.

Appearance
Hien - Wears his white pho shop uniform with a red apron when he's working. Sometimes will wear Shade's outfit during the day depending on if he has to handle gang activities.

Shade - Wears a red ao dai with a modified bamboo hat that looks like a lampshade. Has a silk mask; it's clear when Hien is wearing it and it's not clear when Shade is wearing it.
