Wasabi

Wasabi is a scrap salvager, going out during the hot scorching daytime of the splatlands to salvage anything she can find. She has a base of operations set up far out in the wasteland area, but the train tracks leading to splatsville can be seen from there. Originally from Octo Valley, she battles with her decision to leave her old home and Octavio behind, often retreating to the splatlands as an escape to think. When she’s not working, Wasabi is an avid turf war enjoyer. She enjoys the sport just as much as anyone else, and hopes to one day introduce her custom weapons to the scene. Her intelligence gained from being raised into the octarian army helps her make these custom builds, designing a special custom Ink Whip that allows her to traverse higher and lower areas of the splatlands. She’s very loud and tons of fun to be around, but she can be a bit scary sometimes, so watch your tongue!

She's actually a wanted person in Octo Valley/Canyon! Her desertion, as well as the blueprints she made for weaponry being taken, are the main factors for this, causing her to be mostly in hiding for the time being. She's able to disguise herself as an inkling due to her father's experimentation on her at a very young age, and uses this to hide her true identity from everyone but a select few. She doesn't even trust other Octolings on the surface, out of fear that they may snitch on her. This results in her being very lonely when she's not in turf war. She hopes one day she can be the way she's always wanted to be.

Fun fact: She hasn't even told Benji she's an Octoling, despite him being the closest person to her. She also has no idea Benji has a huge crush on her.
