»Art notes:

her body type is intentionally slightly stocky, not particularly curvy

body is made of seashell, the water inside her is salty

there are no cheek markings. that is my personal stylization of eyelashes.

having a body made of stone, her head sculpture does NOT move or change!

amaiyah, she/her, 80-something (late 20s to humans)

masterlist

bonded romantic partner, sibling type friendship, familial type relationship

museum owner, curator, and overseer. can be meek or firm or both altogether depending upon the circumstances. working greatly to overcome her personal anxieties; a collector in her own right, although of much different items obtained by much more legitimate means than her bonded guide, JJ.

amaiyah's museum is focused on the experiences of the natural world for the blind. many materials are available to be touched, with braille informational plaques and audio tours available as well; railings can be followed between sections of the building, having directions written on them with inlaid words alongside braille. the goal is to offer a unique learning sensory experience and to teach about the natural world.

there is, however, another side to amaiyah's life... being out in the middle of nowhere, there isn't much reception for internet or phone service, which is exactly how she wants it. what she doesn't show is that she's a computer whiz, skilled with coding, and her rare trips away from the museum, she never says where she's going. she never goes to the city of lights. it's somewhere she feels she can't return. she was nearly found out as a youth, that her exposees on corrupted uses of power by those who hold it, calling for these people to be held accountable by the community, came from just a young seeker. she fled the city, leaving her family behind. sometimes amaiyah still misses them. still feels a pang of regret for abandoning the people who just wanted to help her kindly. she still prefers the anonymity of her new name, new home, new life she's spent so long building up.

on the whole, her museum is open to all, and amaiyah appears to mind her own business.

around the museum, there's a few slabsters who seem to have set up their own workings within the area of the museum! a gift shop and a garden (if one is so gracious to call it such....) are the main points of note thus far.
