Kierke's bodylanguage and disposition is reasonably human-like, but her face reveals the womans' fey ancestry. The features appear distinctly elven - an unusually slender nose, wide forehead, strong cheekbones, slanted eyes and pencil-thin, inwards-leaning eyebrows all giving her a somewhat foreign, cunning look. On her right cheek a prominent fencing scar has left its mark.

Kierke's physique is fit, her otherwise narrow frame augmented by lean muscle. The womans' long hair, which is naturally a sort of mousey brown, has been bleached to a rich blonde color and is generally worn in a bun whilst at work, occasionally styled such as to hide the tips of her ears from casual observers.

She's generally sharply dressed, preferring to go for a suit and tie with reinforcements underneath during work-hours. During leisure time her wardrobe is mostly monochromatic, with hints of lowkey rock fashion.

Notable gear

Working for Lionel and The Resistance has honed Kierke's abilities with a variety of weaponry. Her "holy trinity" is a Glock-type gun, a rustic-looking longbow and a rapier - the latter two of which she'd bond with and liberally summon to her side back when she still practiced magic. These days has also purchased a "Cloak" of Protection, which takes the form of a leather duster with its' inner lining covered by liberal amounts of magical symbols.

Backstory

Kierke's human mother, an aspiring dancer, became involved with an elf in her youth, resulting in Kierke - a half-elven child in a society where this is frowned upon. The relationship between her parents fell apart near-instantly and Kierke spent her childhood periodically living either with her rather disinterested mother or "in the system".

Due to being raised among humans she still retains some views stemming from anti-elf propaganda, not quite feeling like she belongs among humans, but telling herself that she feels more kinship to them than to pureblooded elves. To this day she tries to fit in with humans more than her fathers' kin, out of a desire to avoid discrimination and from a lack of racial pride towards her paternal lineage.

After a war broke out and the human-nonhuman relationships reached their lowpoint she spent a couple of years living in an elven reservation with her father. Kierke considers him a superior parent to her mother, though admittedly the bar was set very low. The two bonded over the arts of fencing and archery, which her father sought to pass down onto the girl, but nonetheless had a troubled relationship owing to her fathers struggles with alcohol. Kierke eventually returned, when her mother re-married a diplomat thus putting the girl under diplomatic immunity.

She hit a considerable low point afterwards in regards of her drive and psychological health, until a chance encounter led to Kierke being picked up by a dealer of antiquities, Lionel Everson, for bodyguard/henchman training. Kierke takes her job very seriously to this day, having risen through the ranks even though she was originally likely hired because of her - by human standards - exotic features.

For a while the half-elf studied the arcane arts in addition to her fighting-abilities, having come in possession of a crystallized piece of a ley line through following a cryptic dream [Eldritch Knight]. She'd initially taken the discovery as a supernatural sign no stranger than her emerging tendency to see things that others did not, but after studying magic for a year she gave up on it cold-turkey as her investigations into analogous cases revealed the dream to have been likely sent in her way by The Kings Below [reclassed to Battlemaster].

Ongoing

A D&D game set in a retro-ish modern-ish horror-setting currently undergoing a soft apocalypse, whereupon only certain people are able to see what's really going on in the world due to them being the descendants of ancient bloodlines.

The party came under the attention of a shapeshifting eldritch abomination trickster-entity by killing its' familiar. Said abomination, merely known as Slaq, has subsequently strongarmed them into co-operation in order to defeat a different otherwordly threat, known as The Kings Below.

Family

Father: Beirán Feredir - Elf ~350 years old. Mother: Mari Sophia Moltenore (Marigold Hart), stepfather Laurence Moltenore. She's cut off most contact with her parents due to a genuine belief that she's better off without them. Kierke has only met her stepfather a couple of times, mainly taking on his surname to help smooth over some paperwork and avoid essentially getting deported.

DqN96RN.png
Lionel Everson

Her NPC boss - a somewhat shady rich bloke who'se areas of interest include antiques and cusiosities. He was one of those who funded human research into the re-emergence of the supernatural and is thus indirectly responsible for the current apocalyptic situation. He's become a devout sponsor of The Resistance (an organization that tries to make sense and fight against recent supernatural events) after nearly dying to Slaq's familiar.

DqN96RN.png
Ezekiel Tarven (Troy)

An NPC half-elf [love interest?] working for Delta Agency, who should theoretically be in charge of containing Slaq (not that Slaq lets that fact bother itself). He and Kierke had one date and a one-night stand, but she broke it off partly due to Slaq's comments creeping her out but mostly due to Tarven being much too uncomfortably intense for her liking, acting inappropriately considering the short time that the two had known one-another.

DqN96RN.png
Alitani Xaela

Another players character [active] - a (custom lineage) dragonfolk bladesinger-wizard. A cold and calculating bookworm who cared about her musclehead of a brother so much as to leave her homeland and accompany him in his banishment. She was shipped in due to her extensive knowledge on matters of The Other Side.

DqN96RN.png
Arslan Xaela

Another players character [active] - a (custom lineage) dragonfolk warlock-paladin who'se magical abilities lead him to being cast out of his society. He's fiercely protective of his sister and those who fight besides him, but finds cowardice in combat unacceptable and is generally hard to force into following behavioral norms palatable to humans. Developed a deep one-sided crush towards Kierke.

DqN96RN.png
Professor Turk Rodu

Another players' character [active]- an artificer eldritch-researcher. Although the man has had his ears surgically modified he is, in fact, a 400-year old moonelf - in this case coming literally from the moon, which in this setting has a breathable atmosphere and a thriving elven colony who emigrated up there back during the time of swords and sorcery. He was the only one of us with enough balls to tell Slaq to fuck off with his contract, despite fainting in fear right afterwards. For that, he has Kierkes' respect.

DqN96RN.png
Jonathan Steed

Another players' character [discontinued]- an inquisitive rogue who was friends with Qasim and colleagues with Tarven.

DqN96RN.png
Lula

Another players' character [on hiatus] - a tabaxi rogue with the sailor background. They've known one-another for close to four years, occasionally working together to deal with the eldritch horrors that most in the city are unable to see. Kierke finds the catgirl quite endearing despite - and possibly because - of her hyperactive tendencies.

DqN96RN.png
Qasim Balad

Another players' character [discontinued]- a human shadow-monk. A former boxer and a family man, who retired early due to health issues and these days earns a living through morally questionable means. Sent his family into hiding when they ran the risk of being used by Slaq as pawns, disappearing shortly after himself.
