Bio

Ryder is a bold, energetic, and intelligent young kia.  Risk taking absolutely thrills him and he loves nothing more than to get out and just DO things.  He has a bit of a tendency towards making trouble, not nesscesarily out of malicious intent, but mainly because he marches to the beat of his own drum.  He's very much a free spirit.  He's a perceptive guy, good at picking up on subtle signals and feelings that others might miss.  He is energetic and competitive.  He can be defiant and insensitive at times, but does try to be in tune with these more negative traits so he doesn't run all over the people around him.

Backstory

He went through a very rebellious phase as a teenager as a result of boredom, depression, and frustration with his inability to choose a path in life.  He got into a lot of things he regrets now, but his brother, Dylan, eventually helped him to sort things out and get on the right track.

He and Dylan now own an adventure shack at the beach, renting out kayaks and surf boards to tourists.  He also teaches surfing lessons, and in his free time he challenges himself to pick up more extreme sports.
He enjoys thinking deeply about things, but feels like information is useless if you don't act on it.
He likes watching action and thriller movies and tv shows.  He loves nothing more than to be outside and on the water.  Good coffee shops are some of his favorite things.  A little known fact about him is that he is good at watercolor painting, but he doesn't do it often anymore.

He avoids dwelling on his past a lot and is very focued on the present.
