Keepers of secrets, history and relics. A sister species to Aqwari.
They lurk farther out of the larger populated areas, much fonder of deeper waters.
Nepitri look as if they are being eaten by a bigger fish, and this scares away many. They do this on purpose; as outer guardians they do a good job of keeping strays away from the temple.
Their hymns and songs are much more eery, akin to sirens of the deep.
They eat whatever they please.
They are wanderers, scavengers.
They too, just like Aqwari, have runes birthed upon them, signifying a purpose.
That is... if anyone had the ability to decipher fully what these ancient runes mean.
On the night of a new moon, they may walk on land if they so please. However if they stay too long, their kelp will dry up and they will remain permanently human.
