 Personality

Verdis grew up misunderstood and feeling like she didn't belong. Her parents had big expectations for her, but early on it became clear that she was not going to be following them. She had no interest in the mundane agricultural lifestyle that was expected of her, but instead saught excitement and stimulation. She would spend a lot of time sneaking away to the shipping terminal, the only place where she could talk to off-worlders. Here, she gained new perspectives and knowledge from the world beyond her own- something which was almost impossible among her peers.

Verdis is energetic, adventurous and courageous, but has a hard time articulating her thoughts, has poor impulse control and can get frustrated easily. Although she never means to, she often finds trouble and her team jokes that she should never be left unsupervised. Verdis often pushes herself to be in situations that make her uncomfortable just to experience new things. 

Verdis loves the stars and planetary science, being understood and listened to, experiencing new things and fast paced environments. She dislikes, being misunderstood, people making assumptions about her, being touched and being stagnant. 

Appearance

Verdis is 5'11 and has a very slender and bony build. The top of her hips protrude and her elbows and shoulders are describes as being quite angular. She is covered in a light periwinkle fur and has a detached "x"-like mark on her face with a dark outer boarder. She has dark stripes on her shoulders, back and hips. 

Her eyes are a deep shimmering gold, Her hairstyle is variable, but her hair never goes past her shoulders, her ears are long and expressive, she has sharp canines (one of which is chipped) and she has a burn scar on her thigh and multiple scars on her back.

Relationships

Lixhue

Lixhue is a Necrofriggian and ampiri hybrid. He is a close friend to Verdis and her team leader. Verdis confides strongly in Lixhue and sees him as a family member. He supports Verdis in many ways. 

Quo

Quo is Verdis's best friend back home. He has a family of his own and has no interest in leaving Revonnah, however he and Verdis still try to keep in touch. They get each other little gifts from time to time, and have matching friendship bracelets. Quo is the only person that Verdis maintains contact with on Revonnah.

Imperitor

mperator is Verdis's current partner, however they are just "fake dating". They confide in each other and have a very unique but supportive relationship. Imperator is very powerful, and is the ruler of 21 planets. He is in a real relationship with foxtrot. 

Foxtrot

Foxtrot is a renowned cloner and provides his DNA cloning services to people with enough money. Foxtrot is powerful and flamboyant, He is also the creator of Lixhue. Foxtrot and Verdis have completely opposite senses of humour and often rub each other the wrong way, but at the end of the day the enjoy each other's company. 

Backstory

Verdis is/was a Plumber in the Ben-10 Universe. This story takes place in a timeline that is a mix of UAF/Omniverse. At the current point of her story, the Plumbers were taken down my multiple strategic attacks by an assailent, and her team is now working freelance until the Plumbers can regroup.

Verdis always had a hard time following the rules and social expectations growing up. She always had to do things her own way, and sought out stimulation in the otherwise quiet planet. This often got her in trouble with her elders, and create a lot of conflict with her parents. She was an only child, which was not normal for her culture, since Revonnahganders typically have large families. 

Verdis fell in love with stars at a young age; She found escape under the stars, and would spend a lot of time looking up at them and confiding with them. She learned all she could about the world beyond her own on her frequent visits to the shipping ports. She would also frequently explore with her friend Quo and finding new spots to stargaze. She didn't get along with many of her peers, however she always wanted to understand her them; she stood up for others if they were getting picked on, because she knew how it felt and hated when people were treated unfairly. As she grew older, the conflict with her parents only got worse and she decided that she needed to leave. Eventually, she found out about the Plumbers after seeing them work a case near her town. Her first attempt to leave her planet to arrive at the academy was thwarted by her parents, but her next attempt was successful, but just barely. She struggled at the academy as eveything was extremely different and new to her, and she had a poor concept of authority. She was almost kicked out on multiple occasions, but was always vouched for by a certain magister.

Eventually, she was assigned to a team of 4 cadets that were under investigation. Suspected she was being set up for failure, she was determined to help the team be successful.

Present Day

Verdis had many successful, and unsuccessful missions with her team. There were many instances where people with nefarious intentions would kidnap Verdis as a status symbol because she was different and interesting. 

Recently, she lost her father from an attack on her planet, and was disowned by her mother. She still strives to help others and learn more about the universe .

Trivia

Verdis didn't know Rook Blonko while on her own planet, as their towns were far apart, and has only met him a few times very breifly while on mission.

Verdis has four siblings created by Foxtrot

She has a burn scar on her thigh from an incident involving a fire-based weapon used by her species, which also resulted in the loss of crops.

Verdis named herself after Revonnah's first astronomer, who named herself after a star

Verdis is primarily a frugivore, and her favourite snack is dried flowers
