jake strider english is the only son of dirk strider and jake english, given his namesake. jake, or "junior" by his fathers and most friends, does not have the split duality like most cherubs. his and his clone's self were separated at birth thanks to people being god tiered and earth c being much more friendly and loving. with no inevitable fight to the death looming over his head, jake was given the time to thrive with his two human parents.
jake is, by all accounts, a fusion of both his fathers. seemingly apathetic and uncaring at first, he comes across dirk the most- though the more you get to know him, features from his other father start to show. he has a thick cockney accent and uses words like "mate", "golly", "gee willickers", instead of using actual proper swears. he loves to hunt, and often spends his time imagining himself as a cowboy. jake junior LOVES cowboys. yeehaw.
the cherub often has issues about his own self image, and how others view him as weird or strange. his fathers try their best to understand and comfort him, but being a full cherub and being a full human are completely different things- at least dirk knows what it's like to be a quarter of one.
jake has a strained relationship with his cherub counterpart. while they love each other dearly, cherubim instincts make it difficult for the both of them.
notes:
- junior's actual father is caliborn, obviously. in my nextgen verse ALL characters come back regardless of how shitty they are, and him and dirk had... relations. dirk didn't explain the weird egg that "mysteriously" showed up in his room one night.
- junior has a rampant fascination of horses like his dad. cowboys HAVE to have a horse. it's obvious. he has a horse named Pardner (he named her when he was very young, okay)
- junior is Technically half human, given dirk. when he and his counterpart were still one as infants, there was a tuft of hair on their head (that raised a lot of suspicion on dirk's end.). when they split, junior's counterpart took all the hair.
- he grew up isolated since the dirkjake couple live on a private island. luscii still roam there, but they're less hostile and violent.
- he is technically the "malevolent" side of a cherub! that doesn't mean he's instinctively evil, though.
