Josh thinks that Cole is pretty rad and enjoys chilling with him sometimes. Although he feels as though they were really good friends and then when he introduced him to everybody else, Cole got quite popular, so they don't talk nearly as much anymore.
Josh was the first person that Cole met when he came to the city via his road trip. Josh got him friendly with his friend group so Cole feels a really special bond with Josh. I think he thought Josh was cute, which is why he started talking to him in the first place, and even though he found out quite quickly that Josh was straight, he still thought he was cool and hung around.
Josh is highly petrified of Dylan, and feels totally not safe around him and his gay ways. Dylan has told him on multiple occasions that he would help Josh explore his sexuality if he ever needed help, and Josh was so disgusted. But then he had a wet dream that he was taken advantage of by Dylan and he has avoided Dylan even more ever since.
Dylan thinks that Josh is hilarious, and LOVES to pick on him, because he gets such a huge reaction from the other. In Dylan's mind, him and Joshua are good friends, and sometimes they walk to school together since they attend the same university some mornings, so that's cool.
Josh met Lotte because he was friends with her brother, Trent. Since the first time that Josh met her, he thought she was super duper cool AND pretty, and he started to REALLY like her, to almost obsessive levels.
Lotte has a boyfriend though, so Josh never got a chance to really get to know her close. He just enjoyed hanging around her and enjoying her company. But, Josh, to this day, still has a lil crush on her.
Josh has very mixed feelings about Leo. On ONE hand, he seems pretty cool and when they meet through Nate, they talk somewhat. But on the other hand, Leo did not take his shit of hanging around the coffee shop when Lotte was working and now Josh has an unspoken ban from the shop when Leo is working, because he was hanging out there too often.
Josh and Basil work together at the flower shop. Inbetween deliveries, Josh usually just sits around on his phone, waiting for something to do, and him and Basil sometimes talk shit about the management so Josh thinks he's really cool. Enjoys working with him, but I don't think they've ever hung out, outside of work.
Basil and Josh are co-workers and they work at a flower shop. Basil is a cashier while Josh delivers on a bike. Basil considers Josh a friend and thinks he's an overall cool person, though they don't hang out outside of work apart from around their mutual friend Nate. Basil doesn't know it, but Josh is the one who gave Mags his work schedule way back after Basil broke up with Bolt.
Josh does not trust Nathanael AT ALL. At first, he thought Nathanael was pretty cool, but after hearing about him and Dylan, Josh is NOT okay with him. In his mind, Dylan somehow brainwashed Nathanael and 'gave him the gay' and having Nathanael and Dylan date just makes Josh want to stay even further away from them.
Nathanael doesn't outwardly approach Josh, since he can feel the vibes that he is not liked by him, but regardless of this, I think he sees that Josh isn't totally right with his mental health, and he worries a ton about him. Even though Josh won't have anything to do with him, Nathanael still chats to Nate about him to make sure he's doing okay. He is super worried that Josh is going to get bad with his mental health, like Nathanael did before.
Josh really loves having Andy around. Since Josh has gotten on antidepressants, they have helped his mental state a lot, but having Andy to run with every morning has helped a ton with his motivation, and kept Josh on a schedule. Also, Andy has answered all of Josh's stupid white boy questions about being transgender, no matter how stupid they are, so he feels like he's a lot better at grasping the concept now.
Andy would probably say that Josh is his best friend, even though he does seem super rude and says a lot of stupid things. Andy knows that he's just inexperienced with the subject of identity, and it's been an exciting ride watching Josh grow up and expand into a better dude. Also, Josh is the only one of his friends who can keep up with Andy's workout routine and hasn't even missed one morning run with him, so he really loves having the company.
Josh and Caleb are brothers. Since Josh was a kid, he was never on the same level as Caleb. They were both into completely different things, and there was such an age gap, that Josh never really felt close to his brother growing up. This was forced to change when their mom passed away, and for a short period of time they only really had each other.
Josh has more respect for Caleb now since he is probably one of the main reasons why Josh didn't commit suicide right after their mother's death since he took him under his wing.
With a 5 year age gap between them, Caleb more often than not finds it hard to relate to Josh especially since the other is very different than himself.
It bothers Caleb that he's not an ideal big-brother - not the one he thought he'd be to Josh growing up, but circumstances have more or played a hand to shape their relationship.
Having to look after Josh after their mother's death was hard, and a lot of the time he felt frustrated with him because of the other's "devil-may-care" attitude - feeling like he was failing his mom in raising Josh well.
He worries about how Josh thinks of him particularly in regards to his being gay - as Josh can be rather homophobic at times.
Despite all this, Caleb has given up a lot for Josh and would do almost anything for the other.
