03 — Background
Like other angels, he's been alive for an exceedingly long time. For the most part he's sat back and let humanity do its thing, observing at most. Unlike a good portion of the others, he tended to observe more closely, still not necessarily standing side by side with people, but nonetheless a better view than just through the clouds. He'd get engrossed in people watching even if it wasn't particularly entertaining.
One of these instances, he was following a family taking a road trip. Vid expected it'd take them long to reach their destination and watched another person of interest for a while. When he turned his attention back to the family, the car had crashed. As he occasionally would when he found a situation he'd be alone in, he came down to the surface to inspect the damage, expecting the family to all have died. Looking into it, it was as he thought except for the infant. It was injured, but nothing inherently life threatening. The place the car had ended up in was unfortunate as well, shrouded in forest and considerably far from civilization, even if somebody passed by the might not notice unless they followed the marks the tires left behind.
Wondering what it would do, he watched closeby. He'd waited about a day and it for the most part just wailed its lungs out. Going over his knowledge of babies and human families, he decided to try something new for the first time in a while and meddle with human affairs. He took the baby from the car.
He attended to the baby's needs robbing a store and finding in depth information about raising a child from libraries, again, robbing it. He built a house far from the other angels but equally far enough from the humans as well. From there he went on to take care of it. At first he imagined it only to be a temporary situation, like a simple experiment. He intended to just raise it until he got bored. As time went on, he found himself weirdly captivated with humans and their behavior in a way he never had before. He'd observed many people's entire lives before, from their birth to their death whether they died of old age or illness, but something was more interesting about being the one taking care of a person. He was enamored with the idea of making it happy and giving it a proper life. He cared about somebody for the first time.
04 — Trivia

His design is according to how Vein percieves him. Vein sees Vid as a mix of his parents, though this is only subconciously because Vein doesn't actually remember them.

The apron thing is a byproduct of what Vein has seen parents, particularly mothers, in media being displayed with, so he percieves it when Vid is being especially comforting.

He is named after the sin for envy, Vid is a nickname from Vein.

He had hand tailored all of Vein's clothes up until she left for college.

He used to dress up Vein in very trad goth attire as an infant and toddler as he learned that was something associated with vampires.

As a kid Vein thought Vid would look cool with an eyepatch and it just stuck.

He "physically" (he still doesn't have a physical body) appears as around being in his late 20's to 30's.
05 — Relationships
Child
Being the first human Vid has spent time in person with and the only person Vein knew for a majority of his life , they're very close and have a good parent-child relationship.
Having grown to be very kind upon taking care of Vein and having been alive for millions of years has made him very patient, he was always a good caretaker to Vein and never let anything bad happen to her. Though as this is his first time learning about humans in a personal matter, he wasn't the best at helping Vein learn norms and how to socialize. Vein realizes Vid doesn't really have a proper grasp of human society and emotions as she grows up, but she understands how he tried his best to teach her what he knows.
Even as Vein is at college they continue to talk over the phone on occasion, she often goes to Vid for help or comfort.
Acquaintance
While angels don't necessarily bond with people (or at least the concept isn't present or neccessary in their minds) Super and Vid have gotten the closest to what might loosely be considered a friendship to humans. That doesn't say much though in a grander view as Vid doesn't care for Super more than ny strangers care for each other and Super doesn't care for Vid at all.
