Although he looks intimdating, Alex is very sweet and funny. He deeply cares for those around him, even if they don't show it back. He is the main hunter of the team, along with being the strongest fighter.
However, Alex struggles with setting boundaries and putting himself first. This is especially seen when it comes to his brother, Jason, since Alex wants them to stick together, no matter what.
When it comes to showing how he feels, Alex is very reserved. He tends to hide any "negative feelings" such as sadness or anger behind a smile. This is because Alex's adopted father drilled into him that "he shouldn't be so emotional" especially since Alex was to be considered the man of the house whenever Alex's father was deployed overseas.

Summary
Born in Russia, Alex was raised in an orphanage and cycled through many foster families. Because of this, he never had a proper attachment and developed abandonment issues. At ten years old, Alex was adopted by Jason’s family and moved to Flagstaff, Arizona. Although he spent most of his childhood in AZ, Alex had to move around a lot due to his father being in the military. This, coupled with severe bullying in middle school due to his accent, only increased his anxiety and desperately wanting to form connections.
After the earthquake, Alex was stuck on Irongate with the other survivors. When Alex's mother died from her injuries, Alex and Jason struggled to hunt dogs and find enough food. In desperation, Jason left in the middle of the night abandoning Alex for two entire years. Thankfully, Alex was able to move in with Percy and then teamed up with Athena to avoid starving after Percy left as well.

Athena
Alex's current girlfriend, they both have a pretty good relationship especially when it comes down to working as a team. That said, Athena is one of the few people that Alex is willing to open up to.
Jason
Although Jason left Alex two years ago, Alex is just (seemingly) happy to have his brother back in his life. However, he tends to have trouble with telling Jason 'no' and not letting his brother walk all over him.
Melissa
Despite Melissa not being the most cheerful person, Alex is pretty curious and wants to get to know her better. Alex suspects that Melissa cares more about the team than she is letting on.
