On the surface Natsuki is your typical social butterfly who's extremely outgoing and cheerful. He easily comes off as irresponsible and naive with a knack for getting into trouble. He seems all too willing to get into fights sometimes, yet never does so out of ill-will and almost sees it more as fun (even if the other party disagrees). Some people would call Natsuki selfish for doing things at his own pace and in his own way, and others would simply call him an idiot. In reality though Natsuki is all too aware of his faults and this personality of his is almost a defense mechanism.
Natsuki feels a lot of guilt for things he did in the past and, as such, has tried to bury his past personality with his new one. However he's a lot smarter and more aware than people give him credit for, but he seems to prefer playing the oblivious idiot. Natsuki is a very honest person who's not very good at lying, however, and when asked he would simply come out with it and admit he's not everything he portrays on the surface. He gets frustrated easily and suffers from a lot of self-doubt, but these problems are his and no one elses.
Growing up Natsuki's life was fairly average. It was so average to the point that, through most of his childhood, he couldn't even think of any passions or interests he was persuing. He was simply living life as it came, but eventually he would start to get bored of that. Everyday was largely the same and he began to wonder if there was more to life than simply existing. He didn't dislike his life persay, in fact he still found it mostly enjoyable, but it always felt like something was missing.
In order to find what was missing Natsuki would end up getting involved with some not-so-great people. These people would give him a pessimistic view on life and he would start to develop temper issues. The process was slow, so slow Natsuki didn't even realize the change, and any attempts from his family or friends to get through to him were met with arguments and fights. Natsuki simply believed they were being unreasonable. Even when he made his close friend and cousin, Hibiki, cry he didn't see anything wrong with how things were going. It wasn't until his "friends" committed a terrible crime that Natsuki snapped out of it and began seeking help.
Natsuki still had a family who stood by him, but at this point he had pushed away most of his friends. He decided to change completely and become more outgoing and friendly both to try and bury the person he was before, and to try and start anew with (hopefully) better friends. Natsuki took up several hobbies, two being singing and dancing, and he took regular trips to the beach. It was on that very beach that Natsuki would end up being scouted to join an idol group. A few years later Natsuki would catch word of an up and coming idol group called Afterlight, and the center being his cousin who he had wronged years ago.
One of the other Solstice members. Despite being very much opposites Shion and Natsuki get along fairly well. However Natsuki often tones down his personality when he's alone with Shion and the two have had a lot of honest and down to earth converstations. Natsuki respects Shion the most out of anyone in their group.
One of the other members of solstice. Aside from their manager Natsuki is often the one who tries to talk to Touya about his actions. Though he doesn't want to admit it Touya reminds him a bit of himself when he was younger, and he simply doesn't want Touya to grow up having regrets for things he can no longer change. Still he wonders if Touya ever has any intention of changing his personality...
One of the members of solstice. Natsuki could tell from the beginning that Makoto was wary of him, though "why" he wasn't certain about. It turns out that his outgoing personality was a bit intimidating to him, but once Makoto was able to get over it they were able to grow a little closer. Even so Makoto isn't as honest and the two sometimes struggle with talking.

Natsuki's cousin and the center of Afterlight. Hibiki and Natsuki were actually quite close growing up, but at some point Natsuki began to start bullying Hibiki and eventually cut ties with him. Natsuki still feels guilty about it, but he still isn't sure how to apologize or if he even can at this point.
