Yuenu's Links
Yuenu has a little age on Emery. She's not one to talk much about her specific age though. So who knows how old Emery thinks she is. She remembers him in a few phases of his life and has been introduced to his progeny as he makes them. Yuenu wishes he wasn't such a shitty maker sometimes because he has some great children. She usually lets him have all his grand vampire drama so she doesn't interfere for the most part, just visits. She is also careful of him, and has a healthy respect for his triggers.
She also is of the opinion that Baby needs a Nap. Make that 12 Naps. Yuenu hopes he does nap some of his bastard energy off and rediscovers some human qualities as that is what she believes leads and allows for longevity.
Yuenu has a lot of sympathy for Emery's progeny. She's been around for a long time and is no stranger to the many ways that relationship can be both beneficial and toxic.
She views Verona as cute and charming young thing that has what it takes to face immortality for a long time. It's a matter of surviving her maker and the trials. Time with Verona shopping or partying or anything really reminds her of her time with humans, only Verona also understands the vampire side of her life.
Yuenu loves hearing Verona complain about how charming Hisashi is. She both relates, because he's unfair, and is proud because he's a good vampire and she knew he would be. She is playfully teasing about their relationship, but if she sees Verona getting in too deep she would do her best to make sure that Hisashi behaved and either felt the same way or lightened up.
Verona enjoys spending time with Yuenu, who she finds to be refreshingly kind in comparison to a lot of vampires she knows. She often confides in (complains to) her about Hisashi and his flirting, albeit playfully. She will probably be mortified about that later, when she inevitably learns that the two have history.
Despite the differences the different dynasties brought, Yuenu feels like she and Ming have some common ground. That's not where the commonalities end either. Both have an interest in martial arts. Yuenu thinks Ming is rather elegant and lovely and enjoys her company quite a bit. She allows herself to fall back into her more traditional femininity and manner around Ming because she both doesn't have to emphasize her human qualities, and because Ming just gets it. It's part of a social language that she feels Ming understands and speaks fluently.
Ming is very fond of Yuenu, which is high praise as she doesn't feel that way about a lot of people at any given time. They have ages of stories to tell and a lot of similar experiences and interests; any time she gets to spend with her, is time well spent. Ming hasn't got the patience to front her personality for others, and feels seen by Yuenu without the misconception that she's frigid.
Yuenu has a great affection for who Hisashi turned out to be. She didn't turn him for himself and has since learned the lesson. Nevertheless she takes her responsibilities as his maker seriously and has come to be proud of her choice for who he is and will become.
Yuenu is Hisashi's maker. She swept him off his feet as much as he swept her. However Yuenu came into the relationship with certain expectations and in the end they were both disappointed and hurt. Hisashi has tried to hold a good grudge, but she is genuinely apologetic and has learned her lesson.
Through her efforts he is slowly forgiving her, but also relying on her to teach him the way of immortality. She's someone with whom he has a hard time staying angry. Affection and resentment go hand in hand for him in regards to her. She'll wear him down eventually.
