Regardless of what consequences he is faced with, Adriel will never change. He will never take responsibility for his actions. He will never work to improve his harmful behaviors. He will never care what effect his actions have on his loved ones, and he will always expect their unwavering support.

Couple a self-absorbed asshole with a soul link to an astray god, and you have the rising politician of your nightmares. Or just a feral, heart loving, freak. Depends on which universe you catch him in, really. That's not to say Adriel is incapable of good deeds, but they are always done for gain. Not the 'warm feeling in my heart' gain, but rather to raise the opinions people have on him, or earn the trust of a potential business partner. Nosocren preaches in his head, and that leaves Adriel's moral compass broken.
