A very blunt and serious person. She's not afraid to speak her mind on what she thinks. She has only ever shows a soft spot for her ill mom and eventually Eclise. She's known to bicker a lot with Ikari over the smallest things.

Self experimenting

She got experiments onto herself in order to enhance her abilities. As a result she learned how to manipulate nature around her to her.

Shakumi grew up with a rough childhood, when she was young her father had left her and her mother. A few years later when she was in her early teens, her mother became critically ill and they couldn't afford to pay for medical bills constantly. Because of this, Shakumi started training out by herself, in order to be strong to make some sort of income for her mother. Although she was very bad at first, with constant training for days on end, she progressively got better at training.

By the time she was 18, she was considered a master by those she trained under. She eventually started taking mercenary jobs very shortly after in order to get the funds to cure her mother. During this time as well, she had thought getting some experiments done on her to enhance her physical capabilities. She knew it was risky but she wanted to be able to do her absolute best for her mother's sake. Unfortunately the experimentations were not what she had thought, and she had an injection that made her grow thorns and vines unexpectedly. She thought it was all over but then she had an idea to use this as an advantage; though it meant she had to relearn from scratch to get used to this abnormality. The training was definitely difficult to get used to but she pushed through for her own goals. She trained daily like she had done prior to ever getting these powers. At 21 she eventually mastered her own abilities.
