A runaway from the city, Cryptkeeper (well, ‘Crypt’ actually, most of the time) seems to be a very sedate, serious sort of dog. She rarely plays with the others, instead preferring to sit around the edge of a group and stare into space. Sometimes, something seems to get her hackles up, and more than once, Shepard’s been roused by furious barks, only to find nothing outside... well, nothing but the occasional odd tracks. There’ve been jokes that Crypt is simply protecting them all from unseen threats; Mistyoak is ancient ground after all, with more than a few abandoned homes, possibly even tombs, hidden among the trees. And they did find her hidden in the old mill house...

Possible paranormal incidents aside, Crypt has been making progress with herding more corporeal creatures, particularly the dairy cattle.
