Backstory

Alphonse is one of the original lionds that awoke upon Highliond, brought in on the part of the ship that crashed into what's become known as No Liond's Land. The first week upon crashing was mostly busy with waking from the stasis pods and everyone trying to figure out who and where they were. With the mass confusion, plenty of fights broke out among the Lionds and different encampments started to form. Before any formal leadership could start to rise, however, chaos broke out as a manticrab set upon them, attracted by the bustle of activity. Unprepared and caught off guard by the attack, the manticrab was able to eat its way through the crowd freely until someone shot a flare into its mouth and scared it off.

After the mourning of their lost, Alphonse was one of the first to voice the desire to fight back while the majority wanted to leave immediately even if they didn't know to where. With some convincing he was able to persuade a large number to stay and build defenses before creating a hunting party, forging himself an axe from some scrap metal. The hunting party set out to find the manticrab, but ended up having the manticrab find them. It started picking them off one by one until Alphonse cut off its tail as it ran past him to grab the last of his party, which made it whip around towards him and he sliced its head in half.

Victorious but alone, this is when the planet took notice of Alphonse and reached out to him. He, of course, thought he was losing his mind, but when his wounds healed he had to admit that maybe he wasn't. When it promised him abilities to be stronger, he accepted and returned to the colony. Filled with self-assurance and vengeance for his lost companions, he didn't even realize he was influencing everyone else around him to feel the same. With the whispers of guidance from the planet, he led everyone to a manticrab nest where they threw themselves into battle.
