Masaki is a very tall, built young man. He has lots of hair, and has stubble growing on his face. He's extroverted and outgoing, but very very clumsy. He loves to attempt to flirt, but usually ends up hurting himself in the process. His best friend is his sister Auggie, since the two are so close in age and have similar likes, though pretty different personalities. He really enjoys kids, and aims to be a pro hero, or a social worker if that flops unexpectedly.

He's surprisingly good at maths, and is quite smart. Masaki takes pride in his appearance, unlike his older sister, since most people just find him hot rather than scary. And, they aren't wrong. Currently in his third year at UA, he loves hugs from anyone, especially unprompted. It’s not unlike him to pat people on the head or ruffle their hair either, since he’s very physically affectionate. He’s very much a lover, and especially has an intense love for life.

Masaki’s quirk gives him abilities of a pinktoe tarantula. He has 8 arms and long fangs. He is able to shoot webs from his fingertips and has venom the secrete from his fangs, through training this has become more potent. Masaki is very flexible, this allows for excellent wall climbing.Masaki’s main form of combat is short range, usually throwing punches and kicks left and right. He uses his web slinging abilities for a quick way of transport, swinging from buildings and such. He and his sister tend to tag-team, with one being on containment and the other on beating up the villain.

Vampire? Nope!

Because he’s a spider, Masaki has to intake a certain amount of blood per day! Around 2 cups, it’s gross but in order to function properly he needs it. His family has an agreement worked out with their local deli, where they get the blood they drain while the deli gets help loading and unloading.

Molting

Again, because Masaki is a spider, he does in fact molt! Every 3-4 months for around 3 days, his skin will rapidly shed and his hair will fall out and regrow, along with rapid healing. This causes a lot of nausea and lethargy, so he usually stays home. If he were to lose a limb, it would actually grow back during this time, just like a real spider! It’s pretty gross.

Multilingual

Masaki is multilingual! He speaks Japanese and French, learned from both his parents, and English along with sign language. He and his siblings know Japanese due to their environment, French due to their mom, and sign language because they have a deaf brother. Masaki picked up English from Minu, due to her infatuation of western cartoons growing up!

Due to the placement of her birthday, Minu is technically a year behind in school. She was born a little over a year before Masaki, so they’re in the same grade! Minu treats him like a child sometimes even though they’re basically the same age, and share the same friends.

Masaki is outgoing and extroverted, he’s your typical thespian-theater kid, whatever you want to call it. He was never really self conscious of his appearance like his older sister, that is, until he got into middle school. He somewhat resented his peers for treating him like dirt, and had a very low self esteem at the time. This was because of the underlying issue of his mother abandoning him at such a tender age, and Masaki took it very hard. He was only 11. Then when he started sixth grade, people started isolating him, which was extra hard on him because of this. Masaki felt just so alone, and he didn’t really have friends his entire middle school career, apart from Auggie and Minu, the three of them were usually isolated by their peers. By this time, people started to grow afraid of him, what with him growing increasingly taller each year.

When he started his last year of middle school, he was ecstatic to be in the same class as Minu again, with them having taken different classes the year before. He would have someone to sit with and be his friend. Masaki isn’t small by any means, but he was emotionally unstable and quite fragile. This was the perfect breeding ground for bullies,and soon enough they came. Unfortunately, Masaki was targeted for repeated physical abuse by his upperclassmen, and would repeatedly come home bruised and bloodied. One day he came home with significantly many more injuries, ranging from minor to quite concerning, much to the horror and surprise of his sister. She left her younger siblings in Auggie’s care and rushed Masaki to the ER, where it was discovered that he had broken two bones, and had to get many stitches in multiple places, and staples in another. This was enough to transfer all of them into a different school district, which was overall a hard adjustment but quite necessary.

School

When it came time to talk about high school, Minu and Masaki started to revisit their childhood dream of becoming heroes. They sat and talked and thought for days, until they eventually came to the agreement to apply to UA. Weeks later they both took separate entrance exams, and were both accepted. With them being siblings, they were put in the same class. It isn’t uncommon for their peers to mistake them for twins, since they seem to have an almost unnatural communication with each other. Though, this is pretty much the case with all the siblings. Masaki is pretty protective over his younger siblings, but not nearly as much as his older sister.

Confidence

Masaki grew more attractive and soon became the center of many girls’(and even boys’) attention, he routinely was hit on, but usually shut down advances due to his low self esteem. Gradually though, this too improved and he learned to love himself. Eventually he started doing drama, and auditioned for a local play, but never got a part(even in the ensemble) because of his appearance, sadly. Though, he did gradually start to make friends in theater and did backstage work. He was very useful there, what with all those arms and that height. For one of the first times in his life he felt like he was genuinely needed and helpful, and that made him extremely happy. Masaki really does love being social, but also being by himself, and plays cards with Auggie in his room, the oldest few are very close. Even though he loves all his siblings, he still gets annoyed with them, like any 17 year old would. He’ll lash out at them, mainly Bottle, periodically, but always apologizes afterwards and makes them a milkshake or something of the sort.

Masaki is currently in his third year at UA, with a great group of friends and he’s making great strides in becoming a pro hero soon. Masaki is very social to all the new first years (especially his brother and cousins, who also attend UA) but he loves scaring them upon first encounter. Masaki has a soft spot for anyone younger than him, but especially children, so when Eri was put into the care of UA he was excited to meet her! He had the bright idea of bringing his two younger sisters to befriend Eri so she would have someone her age to play with. He ended up being shot down at first with Eri being so new and needing to socialize more, but eventually his idea came into fruition.
