About

IMP has existed for around 100 years, two people known as Arlo and [redacted] put under a curse that made two beings into one, as a form of punishment for their crimes. To be clear, this didn't create a new person or soul, per say, it was more that they were two people trapped in one body. Although, it didn't take too many years for the two former war criminals to figure out how to navigate their new life as one and go on creating more trouble. However, they seek a way to finally split once and for all, wary of losing themselves, or worse, creating someone new entirely.

Imp, the human

Imp was born to a world on the brink of war, tensions rising as all sides gathered arms. This world, this Earth, is not like that of our own due to the existence of magic. A talent for magic, however, was fairly rare. Imp showed promise ever since he was an infant, taken away from his own mother as a child to be raised to work for his home country's cause. He grew up with violence and death by his own hands, never truly learning between right and wrong beyond what the people controlling and using him taught him. To the country and their military, he was nothing more than a weapon of destruction to be used for the country's cause. As Imp grew older, however, he became more and more of a liability than a tool, acting out of line and becoming his own person. His acts caused him to be seen as a war criminal and a traitor to his home.

Arlo

Arlo’s life was defined by losses and gains in the form of people, livelihoods, connections. Raised in a world parallel to Imp's, wracked by hundred-year wars, he was a traitor to the side of his home. Not to say he sided with the opponent either, frankly, he hated war; the people, the sides, the idea of taking command from those he believed to be weak and corrupted. One thing he wasn’t necessarily opposed to was, well, violence. He couldn’t simply drop how he was raised and the passions that developed as he grew up. ‘Passions’ simply being another word for the fiery hatred he held for many of those around him and their values. In order to feel truly powerful, he rid every one of his connections and people in his life, most by his own hand, so he relied on no one but himself. Once those he knew and once loved were gone, he felt he had gained all he needed.

Samuel and Reina [ Targets/Friends(?) ]

Imp and Arlo, looking to separate, come across many people in their time together, but there's something different about Samuel. IMP follows Samuel around basically everywhere, eventually looking to use him to get Imp and Arlo separated somehow.

Samuel himself is an angry, short-tempered man who plainly hates IMP's presence. His wife, Reina, finds IMP funny and curious, but doesn't mind him nearly as much.

Colin [ Some kid he watches over ]

Colin, only a 10-year-old child when he first met IMP, is a nervous wreck who learned from his childhood not to easily trust people. He ran away from wherever he came from and IMP took him under his wing after meeting him. Imp won't admit it, but he only keeps him around because he reminds him so much of himself.
