Likes: Lounging around in the sun, pottery, swimming, sea stories, flute music, and eggs.

Dislikes: Violence (currently), impulsive people, greed, and sour fruits.

Personality: In the past, Sylvia was a blood-thirsty sea serpent that had no problem sinking ships and eating the victims. Her defeat by Sakura's hands changed her drastically, as the injured sea serpent realized there was more to life than causing chaos. As she turned over a new leaf, Sylvia became more thoughtful, wise, and peaceful. She now has a calm demeanor and dislikes violence, a far cry from her old self.

Home: Animal Planet: Marou (currently lives in Miniman Town)

History: Several decades before the start of the main story, Sylvia terrorized the oceans around the land of Marou and had few willing to oppose her wrath. This changed when a spunky kid (Sakura) and her canine companion (Ramzee) ventured out to sea and defeated her themselves. Sylvia was believed to be dead after this incident, but it turned out that she was merely injured. Despite surviving the battle, Sylvia never terrorized the seas again, and later sought out her old enemy after she (Sakura) relocated to Miniman Town. However, Sakura believed that Sylvia was back for revenge and confined her to a magic pot that she can't completely get out off. After learning that Sylvia meant no ill towards her, Sakura attempted to break the spell but found herself unable to. The spell itself is later broken by Sketches and Lightning by accident.

Current-Bio: Sylvia currently lives in a pot in Miniman Town, and is usually found around Sakura. She occasionally tests the strength of the main characters in a battle, but mostly prefers to lounge about in the sun.

Meta-History: Sylvia was created sometime in 7th/8th grade. While I don't remember basing her off of anything directly, I can only assume her losing her limbs in her transform was inspired by the Pokemin Snivy and its evolutions due to Gen 5 being a new thing back then. During my early days on Deviantart, I wanted to draw a comic based on my characters, but I was unsure (and embarrassed) about my characters at the time, so I included Sylvia in a story with Sakura. Ironically I became more comfortable sharing my other characters while I was making the Silver Serpent comic, so if I hadn't made the comic then Sylvia might have ended up with a different backstory. I used to spell her name as "Silvia" but I've changed it to "Sylvia" because I like that spelling better.

Relationships with Other Characters:

Sakura: Sylvia and Sakura were enemies in the past, but these days they act like old friends.

Ramzee: Sylvia and Ramzee were enemies in the past, but they're currently friends.

Yatchi: Sylvia and Yatchi are friends.

Celestria:  Sylvia gets along well with Celestria due to both of them being  reptiles. Sylvia is unaware that Celestria wants to battle her.
