About

Ty Folia is a confusing person to examine. She is one of the most scatterbrained people you'll meet, but also one of the most determined, and she's proof that the two aren't mutually exclusive.

Even from childhood, Ty found it incredibly difficult to focus on tasks for even a token amount of time. It was a miracle if any task could hold her attention for any longer than a day or two, which included attending to her education. This caused a fair bit of strife early on in her life, as it meant she was constantly patrolled by her authority figures to stay on task, even when her mind convulsed at the thought of continuing something she'd long since put behind her.

Even at her young age, however, she had proven to be very resourceful and determined in her life. When it became apparent that she couldn't overcome her attention disorder, she instead attempted to work around it by simply pouring her all into anything that did hold her interest.

History

As mentioned earlier, Ty had a difficult childhood thanks in major part to her attention disorder. Born to a nail artist mother and a dentist father, her upbringing was earnest, but dull and monotonous to her. She found it difficult to make friends or succeed in school, because her interests so often scattered that even her parents found her to be a "problem" child. While this pressure upon her inability to focus at will caused her great strife, it didn't take long for her to get bored of that too. And thus, her unique brand of ingenuity came upon a solution; she decided from that point forward that she wouldn't tryto push herself on things that didn't interest her. She found that if her natural attention was upon something, she could take advantage of it and learn as much about the subject at hand as fast as possible. When something interested her, her memory seemed to cling to every word of it with excruciating detail. She could read an entire book about law and business and become a professional in a scant few days, memorizing every in and out to the complex profession. She could read a cook book and learn every recipie within by heart. She could get a grasp on astrophysics and molecular science in a month(admittedly, the scaling aspect and some of the finer details were beyond even her scope). So long as she looked at something and found interest in it, she could fit weeks and weeks of studies and research into just days.

It seemed like a fantastic breakthrough for her, but many around her, either out of fear for her safety or unwillingness to understand her methods, did not agree with how she taught herself. The biggest opponent, of course, being her school, of which she promptly failed multiple times before deciding to simply drop out. Her parents always struggled to understand her as well, and while she found herself understanding so much about the world around her, to them, she'd been distracting herself and falling further into a bad place. Ty never took their opposition personally, as she was fully aware that her unorthodox manners had an intrinsic risk, but nevertheless, she refused to be held back, either by fears or by naysayers, and continued to push onwards.

By the time Ty had entered early adulthood, she'd been through hundreds of hobbies and books. Her mind brimmed with all different professions and ideas, but were hindered by her unwillingness to go through a certification process. As nothing could hold her attention for longer than a week, let alone for years on end,  she found herself once again being limited by her disability. Fortunately, Ty had become so accustomed to twisting and turning paths in her life that a roadblock was as threatening as a yield sign on a straight road. Around this time in her life, she'd discovered an interesting source of motivation, the likes of which she'd never been fuelled by before; anime. More specifically, she found that she empathised supernaturally well with the production-hungry, unorthodox and, most importantly to her, widely successful authors and animators behind the equally-inspiring tales of unintellectual heroes persuing education in combat instead of arithmetic.

This interest in both the stylised animations and their unusual producers was a strange one for her, because unlike virtually most other hobbies she'd picked up in her life, this one didn't seem to wane. She binged entire seasons and read entire chapters amidst her other interests, but these tales, as well as documentations about their creators, resonated loudly in her mind and heart. At some point or another, she realised she wanted to be a part of that community. It not only held her attention, but it was something she felt she could do. In fact, it was something she felt she could do it in a way that would break into the industry, despite the the market being dominated mostly by a Mobian audience. In a strange bid to set herself apart from the admittedly-beyond-her-abiltiy to animate, she decided she would instead emulate the style using the natural talents of Inkdrians; her first attempt would be entirely in Live Action, using an entirely Inkdrian cast.

This plan of hers wouldn't even begin to flourish until over a decade later, during which time she poured herself into all forms of studying; she explored and shamelessly threw herself into bit-jobs, earning a pittance while she gathered first-hand experience in the film and acting industries. No longer living with her parents, but with a determination that couldn't be overcome, she spent many years putting away the vast majority of her paychecks, living as squalid as possible until eventually, almost ten years later, she'd saved away enough money to enact her master plan; opening her own studio.

And thus, Tiger's Eye Studio was founded. Using her many years of building connectiond and such, she had just enough funds to hire on a small crew to help her. Though her funds were bare and minimal, she'd learned much about how to work with people and maneuver her way around the business aspects of film-making, going so well that she secured not only an air deal with some of the biggest cinema reels, but also landing herself professional equipment, staff, and complete creative control over the project, despite being a completely new face. She found herself navigating the ins and outs of it all so easily that her biggest obstacle quickly became the things she couldn't just talk her way around; namely, hiring on actors for her first big project, "The Last White Tiger". Even having decided to play the lead role herself, there were many key roles that she simply wasn't satisfied filling, no matter how many applicants came her way. Her determination to get the perfect actors for the roles led her to explore across the world with naught but a backpack full of flyers and a keen eye for hitch-hiking, visiting the biggest cities and the most rural of farmtowns looking for talent to best suit her play. This was, most notably, how she met the woman who would not only go on to be the main antagonist of the film, but also her closest friend, Basil.

To this day, Ty continues to run Tiger's Eye Studio as their executive. Though her first project,The Last White Tiger, has proven popular enough to inspire a serial series, her eccentric mannerisms and business strategies still earn much eyre and concern. Nevertheless, Ty takes her personality in stride, and prides herself on being the first multi-million Inkdrian-based studio in the industry.
