Kaleidoscope of Othersight (Summon)

An enchanted kaleidoscope that refracts light in strange, unpredictable ways, rarely capturing the exact same prismatic, fractal-filled image twice. The kaleidoscope's name comes from the way it allows one to perceive the flow of the unseen world -- threads of fate, auras of magic and people, spirits, sometimes even remnants of the past... the strings of the universe, ready to be plucked by those smart enough to play them. Its purpose is twofold in how it can be observed -- the visions can be projected onto the user's eye, or out into the world, though the untrained and unaccustomed may find them difficult to understand in thanks to their ever shifting nature. Through repeated use, the kaleidoscope will render the eye that observes its visions blind to all but its own magic, though in exchange it leaves some permanent vestige of othersight...

Nahir is a drifter, moving from place to place following leylines and points of interest and power, enthralled by those corners of the world that seem to attract all manner of ethereal forces and emotional energy. He's fascinated by the history of everywhere he goes, seeking out those with the first hand knowledge of what hands built these towers, what minds spilled out into these tomes, what battles drew these lines in the sand... Though he's known to make a temporary home of some of the main cities for months at a time, the front of being there to provide his services shouldn't distract one from seeing his true goal of politely stirring up the ghosts of the past in search of answers to questions he might not know he has yet.

Poking, prodding, surprisingly nosey for one so (seemingly) shy... he tends to explore first, apologize for intruding later. This isn't to say he's inconsiderate to privacy, but it's not terribly uncommon for him to wander his way into forbidden, even illegal spaces as he trails whatever has caught his eye...

Though he's seen much of the past and the people around him, he's somewhat naive when it comes to his relationships with others. It's very easy for him to become enamored of someone -- for the small number of times he's had a real romantic relationship, he's certainly fallen in love quite a bit...
