Darius IV Marvos von Gandoanna

A mysterious dark entity sometimes spotted in the sky. An otherworldly appearance that matches nothing existing in-world. Surrounded in a pall of dread and despair. Strange and eerie in more ways than one. Something feels off about him... artificial...

Von Gandoanna speaks very rarely and only when necessary, sometimes being quiet even when prompted to talk. Seems to be a serious business type, much unlike The Rapper. People think he's lived for centuries by drinking the blood of his enemies, if they believe he exists at all.

Darius is not exactly an exohero like the others, he would only rescue people in unfair situations (victims of traps, armed vs unarmed) but not intervene in 'fair disputes' (armed vs armed, super-powers vs powers, unarmed vs unarmed) as he believes this allows natural selection to dictate who lives and who dies, strengthening the people. He believes he's a demigod and an arbiter of the gods to decide the fate of mortals.

He'd often intervene and pacify fellow monsters, with intent to help them gain control of themselves. This much he knows, the pain of being treated as a monster.

His special power, besides longevity, is the ability to project body parts of various animals from within his body. They seem to grow directly out of the body, anywhere he chose to manifest them, and erupt from a dark hazy mass. The animal has to be one that he's previously killed to 'absorb its essence'. Common appendages include pterosaur wings [constantly on and used as a cloak when inactive], squid or jelly tendrils, long therizinosaur claws, scorpion stingers.

A few details to keep in mind while drawing the character:

• Darius lacks nostrils, the means by which he breathes (or if he needs to at all) is unknown.
• He's got some fine lines running along his snout and body (see images), almost like he's wearing a mask or circuit board.
• The claws are the same colour as his scales, the boundary between the two is unclear.
• His exact appearance (horn shape, tail feathers) changes with each appearance so do whichever version you prefer.
