Rhode Rockamount

Rhode is very reserved. He rarely shows emotions or hints at what he is thinking. But, below the surface, he rarely considers his own emotions and well-being to begin with. His work as a mercenary left him rather cold to doing the group's dirty work. He will put others needs and wants before his own, rarely questioning the means of it. After a reset-of-sorts from meeting Silas, he opens up to trying to better himself and is encouraged to embrace his emotions, preferences, etc, more. He's still bad at it, but he's pushed to make efforts from Silas and Agnes.

Mercenary Life

Since his childhood, he was a mercenary for a ruthless group. Seeing the leader and group as a father-figure and family, he would fulfill most tasks without question. There would still be harsh consequences if he failed, but still he gave every effort to accomplish each job no matter the cost. The tasks that he would given would question his morals, and he would do things that most would be unproud of. He, himself, wasn't ruthless by nature. He's rather kind and gentle and only does what he has to as seeing his job as something to complete and recieve empty approval from.

His group manages to capture Silas, as they had caught him using magic and assumed that his head would fetch a good price from kingdom soldiers that would overlook the mercenaries' complicated history. Silas, being overly friendly yet managing to ask the right hard-hitting questions, cause Rhode to rethink his actions. For the first time, he would fail a task given to him to let Silas escape. Silas, after seeing the consequences Rhode would take for disobeying the mercenaries, devises a plan to help Rhode escape along with him. He says that in exchange for helping him with a new start, that Rhode would be his 'bodyguard' for the rest of Silas's quest- although it was nothing more as a passing suggestion that stuck.

Rhode's adventure with Silas ends in disaster. Fulfilling Silas's last wish, he returns to Silas's hometown to meet Agnes to deliver a letter. He risks getting caught by the guards, but eventually is to join Agnes in restarting Silas's mission and to give it one last try in fulfilling it. Wanting to make ammends for where he failed, in any way possible, he becomes Agnes's bodyguard.

Skills

His abilities are rather simple. He's known mostly for his brawn. Being the equivalent of nearly ten men, his strength far exceeds that of an average person. His combat skills are limited, but with the sheer brute force that he brings, most attacks are more than effective as a single blow.

Being a mercenary, and a man with a high bounty on his head, he has had to pracitce an art of stealth and disguise. Someone of his stature still sticks out in a crowd, but in underground scenes he blends in and is more than capable of pulling information whether by force or without.
