when jae-hyun was around seven, she seemed to suddenly vanish off the face of the planet. her family spent years looking for her, and though she was declared dead in absentia, they never gave up hope looking for her. they went all around the country looking for their missing child.

they were looking in the wrong place.

in reality, their daughter had been kidnapped by the fae as part of some political game that jae had no hope of understanding. she was kept in their realm for seven years, and when she was suddenly returned to her home, she had a lot of readjusting to do.

personality

post her kidnapping, jae-hyun is skeptical of those with magic. the immediate association to her, the morality of the person notwithstanding, is that they've been hired by the fae to bring her back -- kicking and screaming if they need to. with others, though, she tries to be sweet and jolly, her own paranoia notwithstanding. more often than not, she prefers to keep to herself. deep down, she's desperate for a friend who won't throw her to the proverbial wolves, and will push through her introversion if that's what she thinks it'll take for someone to stay. she's a people pleaser by circumstance, and doesn't really stand up for herself out of habit -- but now that she's back from the realm of the fae, she's trying to be better at both of those things.
