DESCRIPTION
Barry is best known for his reliability and kindness towards others, though he has a sort of melancholy about him. Between his rocky past in and out of bands, dealing with addiction, and the loss of almost everyone he knows- namely that of which is his wife, Jasmine, whose sudden disappearance still haunts him to this day. Barry is very much past his prime, and the years have humbled him. Despite all of this, Barry still keeps a generally positive and laid-back attitude. He enjoys his job (for the most part, of course), and he enjoys spending time with the very few people he still has left in his life.
Barry is average height and has a fit but stocky build. He has dark skin and dark brown eyes. His salt and pepper hair is grown out and usually tied back in a ponytail. He also has a beard and mustache. For clothing, Barry is a firm believer in the classic T-shirt and jeans combo, usually paired with boots or sneakers, and occasionally, a leather jacket. His casual clothes often have a few stains or tears in them from work. He also wears earrings.

Backstory
As soon as he turned 18, Barry left his home to pursue a musical career. This was a mistake he would later regret, as he lost contact with his parents later on in life.
In 1975, Barry meet Carlos and Ed, two brothers who had run away from their abusive home and were currently hopping from bar to bar across the country for musical gigs. The three formed a short-lived band, The Sons of Joshua, but was soon broken up due to the brothers being involved in a horrific car crash resulting in Ed's death and Carlos seriously injured. This caused Barry to develop alcoholism in order to cope.
In 1979, Barry began working at Allstar Auto Repair, hoping a job would help him get out of the dark place he was in. He also met Jasmine, a nursing student at the time. For the next few years, Barry would, with Jasmine's help, overcome his alcoholic tendencies. They got married in 1982 and Jasmine became pregnant with Mel in 1984.
Happiness would not last forever, as soon after Mel was born in 1985, Jasmine would go missing.
Though Barry was tempted to return to his old ways, he made a promise to himself to do all he could to raise Mel- and that he did. Later, when the owner of Allstar retired, Barry bought the store from him.
Currently, Barry lives with Mel, his only surviving biological family member. Him and Carlos are still friends as well, and the two occasionally meet up to play music together.

Trivia
- Barry likes to restore cars. He's currently working on a 1980s hearse, his biggest project yet.
- Barry comes from a musically inclined background; his bass was a gift from his parents after he turned thirteen. Mel's full name is Melody, which is because of this.

Relationships
Barry's only surviving family member that he knows of. He would do anything in the world for her because of this. Lately, there's been tension between the two of them, but he hopes this conflict will be resolved soon.
