Berry is a demon in disguise, serving as the former lead singer of the rock band "Batless"
Sassy and passionate, he gives of the image of not giving a shit of what you think. He appears larger than life, modest yet snarky. Carefree yet dramatic. He loves teasing people, especially other musicians and other band members. However, he does care about aspects of his public image. Insults do cut through him and may cause him to lash out. Depending on what hit him, he may even reveal his demon form when angry enough, which he usually keeps somewhat hidden. Furthermore, he does deeply care for the welfares of his fellow bandmates, and makes it his duty to keep them safe when the security fail. "Only I can mess with my bandmates" sorta thing.

Berry, real name unknown, was a spawn from hell, most likely a heliborne. Rumors say he never really knew his parents, as they'd switch around lovers often. People also theorize, based off what he said one time in an interview, that he has a burning hatred for someone he called "Mona Lisa," most likely a demon (who might also be on the mortal plane) He'd been in hell for centuries before coming to earth seemingly out of nowhere. People have theorized about him being sent as a spy, others say he ran from hell as they weren't very accepting of theatre, some even just say he got bored one day.
After coming to earth, he soon got in touch with Derek Leto, an ex-cult leader with an interest in bass. Through promises with helping Derek's reputation, he found another guy, Richard, and they all started a band, in which after some infighting, was named "Batless." Soon, Rex would join due to interest in his talent, despite being blind. Grim, the grim reaper, would soon join after, and with that they started creating music, and eventually even touring. Fangirls thirsting over then men, other raised an eyebrow at Berry's slightly off behavior. The group had a chaotic dynamic not often seen in the music scene at that time.
That would eventually change when none of them had much responsibility or knowledge of effectively managing finances. They'd often spend huge money on their shows and music videos, eventually draining them dry. It also didn't help when Berry said in an interview, in order to hide his demon identity, he blurted out that he and Derek had gay sex and that "He asked for it." He wasn't aware of the stigma that carried back in the 80s. Eventually, they had to disband due to financial issues. Not too long after, for unknown reasons (some say the break up, others say it has something to do with Mona Lisa) he'd snap and have a huge demonic outburst in public, burning the local arena, and revealing himself. Although short, the damage had been done, only escaping legal trouble by making a deal with one of the cops. He'd get a few stares and exorcists on his ass in the following years
Luckily for him, he'd later find success in a more pop like direction for a solo career, and deciding to go with that after the fact, loosening up a bit regarding his true form. Although not as huge as Batless, and much more critics, he seems to not be leaving anytime soon.
Fun Facts:
-He is immune to fire, and unaware that people often scream in agony when being burnt. Luckily he'd decently good at acting.
-Most people look back at the band days and realize it wasn't that hard to guess he was from hell, it somehow flew over their heads.
-He once interrupted a wedding, thinking Mona Lisa was there, stating that "The groom's bride is a whore."
-He sometimes jokes that he is the only member of Batless, despite the band being broken up
-He personally doesn't think there would be a reunion anytime soon
-A fan once during his Batless days gave him some high heels in a show. He occasionally wears these at concerts.
