Feffin

Sumac is Feffin's beloved pet. He appeared in her back field when she returned from her final mission. She immediately took to him, and him to her. He is incredibly loyal and smart, learning tricks on a dime. Along with that, his abilities exceed that of any normal dog - easily outspeeding race breeds and possessing astounding strength. As it stands, Sumac helps Feffin tend to her herd, corralling any of the livestock back towards the farm when they wander too close to the surrounding woods. He also serves as her main source of comfort and company. In the end, he acts like a true puppy when meeting anyone who he decides is a friend despite having a severe case of resting bitch face for dogs. Feffin's severe dislike for rodents is also taken care of by Sumac - easily locating and eliminating any that dare enter her home.

Feffin has suspicions she refuses to acknowledge about Sumac; namely his near-human intellect, and the fact he happened to show up directly after the loss of someone exceedingly close to her. She does her best to ignore these thoughts, as they are mostly baseless, and make her uncomfortable either way.
