She's been a wolf since she was nine, after being bitten by a coyote that she tried to help that had been hit by a car. The coyote ended up dying, and afterwards she found herself able to shift into her feral form. She promptly ran away from home and was found by Belethezar when she was about eleven, homeless and eating out of the trash. He let her come along with him since their paths had already crossed, and they joined the pack together. They have an extremely close bond, and she's accidentally called him dad once or twice.

He regularly leaves to break into pharmacies far away from the pack to get hormone blockers for her, since she can't go to a doctor to get them,,
