Frances stayed in foster care up until they were 7 years old when they were adopted by a wealthy Canadian couple. Frances father was a dual American-Canadian citizen and he owned property in both Canada and America. Most of their childhood they spent in Montreal, Quebec but would go down to the lake house in Michigan in the summer.
