The Hill is a plane that exists between Topside and the Underworld made entirely of magic. Its people, the Faeries, are magic incarnate- their existence keeps it in play wherever they go. Without Faeries or the Hill, Magic would wither and fade. 

The Hill is made up of different Kingdoms, vast and sharply different areas all representative of different forms of magic. Each Kingdom has a theatre at its seat of power, and the performances held at each theatre keep that Kingdom's magic alive.
