EXOPHAGE

EXOPHAGE

The year is 2073. Humanity has moved beyond the stars, colonizing several planets and moons in the Solar System in an attempt to conquer space. Governments and corporations race to claim territory while Earth languishes due to pollution and climate change.

In China, an astronomer notices a beacon orbiting the Earth, a team of astronauts is sent up to retrieve it and discover it is a message, but its contents cannot be translated. The United Nations has a summit on what to decide with the message, when a translator, interpreter and expert on language arrives and manages to decode it: they’re here.

When an eldritch ship from beyond the stars appears in the orbit of Jupiter, humanity is given a window of time to prepare for their inevitable arrival but panic and chaos ensue, what do these aliens want? Why are they coming for Earth and what are they going to do with humanity?

The answer soon comes apparent when a satellite sent by the alien vessel arrives in Earth’s orbit, causing various calamities such as deadly lightning storms, tsunamis and forest fires. Millions perish and cities are destroyed, allowing the mysterious Exophage race to begin terraforming the planet and creating nests. The survivors hide underground while the military fights a futile battle against the alien invaders and their powerful technology.

Air Force Major Sgt. Reuben Damon is among the survivors in a military town in Alaska, and is tasked by the remnants of the United Nations to help bring down the alien threat. Though Reuben is an experienced soldier and veteran pilot, he suffers from PTSD from previous wars and others doubt he will complete the mission. Assigned to the mission with him, is radar technician and former astronaut, introverted Dr. Desmond Fletcher and robot companion B.E.C.K. With the world’s weight on his shoulders, Reuben reluctantly accepts the mission and must train as an astronaut to travel into deep space in order to destroy the alien mothership and save humanity.
