Altruis' girlfriend it looks like... she's a very kind gal. Offers to braid my hair only if I take a shower first. She reminds me of my wife, very lovely and sweet but fierce too.
Cool antlers... he won't let me touch them though. I met River's buddies when they were stuck in Gaia, I'm indebted to her and her friends after they freed my home from the tyranny of Gholok and his tribe. Altruis is a nice guy atleast, wish he would loosen up and try my special raw meat meal recipe already!
A quiet cemetery is better company than a screaming prisoner, but... Cadmus has very little leeway to stand up for himself in the world of the Church. He's a bottom-feeder for bottom-feeders, a pity pick-up... So he sucks air through his beak, exhales, and tells Raker he's doing a wonderful job and how clever of a scholar he is.
Raker is Mercury’s best friend, but he sometimes questions the company he keeps around and the ward he’s taken responsibility for. Where did Mercury even find this young man, his doorstep?
The lovely Ms. Fortune, I always know just the skincare beauty routine she needs… some lead-filled makeup, spider silk and mellified man for a cream. Strange how my gift baskets for her wind up in the garbage though.
Creep... I don't care if his methods are ever useful, we have Faith Magic for that. If he offers me anything, it's going straight to the trash. Why can't my coworkers be normal!
He makes my job a living nightmare... The things he does to people makes my skin crawl, and I have to somehow make what he does go away in the eyes of the public? No amount of tasteful portraits can brainwash that terror out of people.
What a wretched little monster, both him and his foul beast are perfect company for each other. His brutish methods of getting what he wants with the senate interferes with my perfect control over these witless politicians and the Mayor. There’s only one architect for Keldocia’s future, and that is my master the Archpriest.
Raker, a good friend of mine for many years, his… uh… interrogation methods provide a great source for medical knowledge and how much our bodies can endure such agony. I often bring Cadmus to watch him use the breaking wheel on prisoners as homework.
My bessst friend… Mercury alwaysss hasss jussst what I need for my constant ssshedding and parasssitesss… Hissss apprentice though doesssn’t have hisss moxie however, or hisss good looksss.
River and her friends helped liberate the Chillbrook College of Magic from the Church's control, for that I am forever in her debt and will help her fight the Church with my magic spells, tomes and books. Maybe I could teach the others how to use Arcane Magic and not just Faith Magic...
Uhhhh... squid guy's nice I guess. Decided not to kill me and Altruis after we convinced him to stop flooding the world. Turns out his King ain't so nice and we all had to beat him up to stop a war from happening. A usual day for me, gahahaha!
Oh, my other best friend, the neanderthal! I wish he would take a shower since he smells so terrible and stinks up my lab, but he's a fascinating specimen regardless and a time capsule into ancient history. I would love to visit this so-called "Lost World" he comes from some day!
Uh... where to begin with this guy, jeez. Rhavokk and I split up from River and Altruis to escape the Church's zealous military and reunite in a few days, so me and the big guy decide to journey down to the deep... where we got captured by guards, escaped and came across Dr. Zero's lab. He was kind of evil at first and wanted to flood the surface world but I kindly asked him not to and now we're friends I guess?
Wolf boy! One of my dearest and only friends, of course I was well on my way to flood the surface world but wolf boy was kind enough to explain the direness of the situation and the truth about my King! I am forever grateful for his help.
My go-to source for gossip in the Church, I feel like I could tell Dahlia any secrets I have though. If Altruis can trust her, so do I. She should take some time out of her schedule to fence with me, it'd be fun!
Alistair knows how to pick his friends, hah! Hilarious, I'm glad to have someone to vent to during my breaks, and I get to hear about what nightmares he's dealing with, it's fun what we have. I should really invite him to Lotus Bay sometime, maybe we could do that fencing thing he always talks about.
I have no idea where River found an actual, living caveman while we were stuck on some weird island, but she said she saved him from a tar pit and now he's indebted to her? Can't say I don't like the guy though, he packs a mean punch and that counts for something, especially against the Church's armies.
Minerva... I'm just happy to have another girl in the High Clergy to talk to during meetings. Besides, who are my other choices? The giant crocodile and mad doctor? She's fun, maybe she can give me a tour of Amadeus' nature sanctuary... I have things I want to see there~
My oldest friend and my peer, we've spent countless nights translating ancient runes, theorizing how to cure the latest diseases, solving mathematical equations and slept on each others' couch in our respective labs. I haven't seen him in... ah... ten years? It's been a little while, hasn't it.
Celestine, his gift for political survival, booming voice and piercing claws that ends any senate squabbles is a valuable asset for my grand design. Politics bore me, so his skill in bureaucracy and dedication to civil service is a blessing in disguise from my master, Vulgoth. He could even be fit to be a High Priest if I had my way...
My master... he is what our Church and country needs, a newer, bolder direction in favor of worshipping the Dark Gods and annihilating those wretched Cursebearers. Kel's teachings could only get us so far, but his promises of power, wealth and immortality under Vulgoth's reign is... too enticing. I will serve my master, right or wrong.
Ooh boy, Ludwig. He's not my captain, but he is my superior and the one who I take orders from. He usually sends his lackey Lothar to do all the work he's supposed to do, like command us in battle and hunt Cursebearers, but everyone's too afraid of him to tell him that.
Alistair, my finest swordsman and warrior. He's a cunning warrior in battle and deadly with any blade he's given, we've gone on many holy crusades together and the amount of blood he's spilled for the Church proves that he's a loyal soldier. Shame he couldn't make the cut for the elite Seraph guard, but the height requirement needs to be respected and rules are rules.
The kid, I think she's saved my life more times then I could possibly imagine! She was the one who helped me realize Cursebearers aren't all evil and exposed me to the corruption of the Church, now if I could only convince Altruis...
Zodiac tells us all to be wary around members of the Church, but... Alistair is fine! He's a good guy deep down, just stuck in a bad system he needs a way out of. His ties with a certain High Priest have me optimistic...
