Monroe had met Jeno on a beach during a cold night, having mistaken her for her sister, Idylla. She quickly became a friend for him, and since then Monroe has always held a soft spot for the galatas. She kept him grounded even as he mourned her sister.
His greatest regret is not being able to apologize to her before his death. But his ghost watches her children left behind, finding remnants of her within them.
Jeno saw something in Monroe, more than she ever led on. She could tell that deep down that the scars he held, the stories that went untold, haunted him until his very last breath. She never knew the full extent of his demons, or what kept him up at night, and still tried her best to stay by his side - even when he truly and utterly terrified her. He was her best friend and is one of her greatest inspirations. Jeno believes that her biggest mistake was that she never got the chance to protect him, to prevent him from succumbing to his fate, for she had disappeared long before his death. Had she stayed, she believed she could have tried to save him. After his passing, she helped return to his lover and her sister, having buried him in Athens right by her side. Years have passed since his death and she still finds herself awake at night reminiscing of their time together. She whispers stories of his life to her children in an attempt to keep his memory alive, despite them growing up in a place where nobody knew his name. She likes to believe that he may be proud of the woman she has become, and that maybe, he would be waiting for her on the other side. Ready to guide her into the arms of her sister and brother, and her fallen friends.
Eugenia may not know Vavilon enough to consider him a friend, but she does firmly believe in his loyalty and respects him for his duties. He is the only guard she would ever trust enough to take care of her children and she believes that her trust is well-placed. The two do not share more than a few words with each other at a time. Eugenia cares for him, though, and she does show it through various gifts of trinkets and extra payment during the colder months. She looks out for him, even though she knows he may not need it, it is what he deserves.
Bones is known as one of Kaia's companion animals, which is a small canine who Eugenia had grown quite fond of during her time in Seether Carnage. He had a habit of climbing on her back and occasionally pick-pocketing items from her satchel, so she always viewed him as both a hassle and a pain in the ass, for the fact he had quite the habit of getting himself and owner into trouble. Despite his various antiques, she would be lying if she said that she wasn't the slightest bit fond of him. He was very cute.
Atasi has only met Keelan twice in her lifetime, having not been around when he and Eugenia were in Rancorous. The bluejay was very quickly intrigued and it was hard not to mess with him. She would occasionally pull at the hair of his mane and his tail whenever she wanted his attention, and would often lurk on his shoulder. She has a genuine dislike for his companion, too.
Kaia has always held a soft spot within Eugenia's heart. She viewed her as another daughter, having grown attached to her quite easily, and always provided her with various amounts of gifts. From fireflies in poorly crafted jars to bracelets made of Athena's finest silver. She loved her dearly. Having caught wind of Kaia's death after her departure from Seether, Eugenia was devastated, and would occasionally visit the graveyard to pay her respects. She would always leave the same gift; a jar full of fireflies as a reminder of their first encounter.
Atasi used to love nestling in Kaia's tail, as it mimicked a nest due to the horse-like hair. She would often leave her friend's side just to spend time with Kaia, following her into the forest of Daemogar and helping her find food on her hunts, and herb gatherings. She would fly ahead and essentially keep an eye on her alongside Bones. She misses her dearly and will leave little rocks on her grave when visiting.
Atasi absolutely adored Bones, having grown attached to him during his time with Kaia in Seether Carnage. She would show her love and affection for the raccoon by picking at his fur, pulling his ears, and occasionally dropping globs of mud on him in an attempt to bother him.
Atasi is very fond of Caelie, often perching herself on the canine's shoulder when she is around her. She is essentially a nuisance — every time Caelie tries to shake her off she'll just keep coming back. Sometimes she'll bring her gifts of berries and shells as peace offerings.
Eugenia doesn't know Arianwyn personally, but she is quite happy that her brother has found someone to love and cherish. She thinks she is a good mother to her children and an amazing wife. She will often provide her with a multitude of gifts solely because she is now considered part of their family.
Weary, cautious. Grateful.
He is the reason this bitch lost her leg 😁
❎ Eugenia is like an older sister to Rhistel; she took her under her wing when Rhistel's parents disowned them.
Having fallen from a tree when she was just a small, fragile baby, she was never meant to survive. But she had been found and cared for by an unlikely creature, one whose heart shined bright like the sun even in their darkest times. Atasi holds a fondness towards Eugenia like no other, having numerous chances to leave but choosing to stay by her side through thick and thin. She views her like a sister and treats her as one too, picking and pulling at her mane, stealing her jewels, and interrupting her crafting sessions. These two are an unlikely duo who have seen each other at their worst, fighting tooth and nail just to ensure the safety of the other. Atasi may be just a small bird, incapable of doing any real damage, but she'd put herself in the line of crossfire if it means helping her friend.
