The day started as it always did. Aadi would wake up stretch a little, hug her mom and dad and pray. That was life and her mornings. It wasn't very boring to her, a dragon like Aadi could make rain seem like it was cupcakes falling from the sky. Which was an issue because many plant dragon parents knocked on her parents door to say that there baby dragon was crying because there was no cupcakes falling from the sky.

That was there problem, Aadi always responded. They had to look at the rain and think it as good as cupcakes, there were no cupcakes. Aadi was sitting on her bed doodling animals, yes as a plant dragon you should draw plants her father always scolded her. She didn't care, just because she was born in the plant business didn't mean she wanted it. It didn't mean nothing either, every baby dragon went into the crystal caves to become adult dragons and get there rank. Most dragons don't make it, 10 weeks in the caves. This is why every dragon parent gave there babies something to help them. It use to be a secret but a secret turned into a normal thing. Each dragon would pick something to help them, her father wanted her to pick the sword. "You never know if your partner is crazy" her father's words echoed in her ears as she sketched a sloth. Aadi wondered what her partner would be like. She knew no one would want her, Aadi was happy and loved to laugh, or so dragons thought.. she really was always sad from her father expecting so much and getting so little.

That was her issue, and she had to fix it. She had till tomorrow for the caves and her father was already nagging her to get ready, yellowing thing such as "go break crystals" "eat moss" "fight your dummy!" "Go attack a panther!" Aadi always came back failing, or throwing up from eating moss... she jumped from her bed and hid her sketch book. She walked out of her room and big surprise, papa was at the door or her room. "Well?" He growled. "Yes sir?" Her father rolled his eyes. "You should know what to do! You should if been fighting your dummy in your room!" Aadi looked at her claws. Another task, failed. "Of course papa-father-sir!" Another task failed!!!

Her father snorted harder and walked into his room. Aadi had to get out of the house before he made her gobble up moss again. Aadi ran out the door and flapped her huge wings into the night sky.
