" .. where life makes you feel at home. "
![]()
Just your average fellow artist who's in love with nostalgia, video games and even art! Inboxes are available on the road here, so feel free to talk by anytime.
" I've been bringing some storage to one of my characters that, although while everything is in work-in-progress and might have some unfinished sources on its way - I'm still planning to try and keep on being active as soon as I can. You can look around the collections I had with one of my OCs related, or check around my social media that I use alongside everything that I do on Bluesky! It's a bunch of stuff that you'd love to see. "
Latest Bulletin
I know I might be pretty late to make an announcement, but trust me - June is like one of the greatest time to celebrate Pride Month. Considering I've been opening myself as an aroace, it's fun to acknowledge being the way of who you are and what you wanted to be! And as summer still is ongoing, it's fair to say that there's gonna be lots of warm temperature going on until we hit the feelings of Autumn. But that'll be around that time at September.
..with that aside, here's a part of the notes on the list on what's changed and given!
1. Fresh avatars were (almost) given to the Farlands! The Expanded group is still in the works to have their own around this month, which will often be complete after!
2. While new renders were given to Generation 1, we're bringing that into the rest of Originacters following their artstyles; lineless (Farlands), digital art with rough outlines (Middleways), anti-alised off (Powenth) and randomized artstyles (Expandant)
3. A new folder called the "Upcoming"! While they might be unorganized, you can check in who's being brought until they find their home categories somewhere else!
4. All folder styles should no longer be nested as they can simply be checked. Only folders that remains as nested is in the rest of Homeabove for the sake of organization (only changes inside them at the Originals is that you can finally see the Expanded/Alternate Sides below!)
..whew, and that's little changes I have to make so far! Hope this brought you to a good interest because there will be more coming along to you, the viewer. Don't forget to again, be yourself and love yourself, too! That's how important it is to show that you're utmost special no matter what. Hope we meet again in July's announcement!
- To yours truly, where life makes you feel at home;
How did you receive your name? (to be honest, the name "Caffetap" just sounds fun to say, and has a ring to it, since I oddly relate it to caffeine-related drinks, such as coffee)
13 days, 24 minutes ago
Correct, and that's actually simple to answer! The old name caused me a lot of stress and pressure due to my past behaviors and how I've been treated negatively, so I actually never liked it. Within the plan of rebranding I had to make a new change that truly feels like me nowadays
Caffetap came out as the appreciation of caffeine themed, personally one of my favorite is to pour hot water from either hot chocolate and cappuccino - such is why the water came from the sink.. or it could also be used for a coffee machine just so that it could tap in. Ring the bell and you'll get "Caffe-tap"!
(Alternatively I'm also known to be called as "Caffe" as a short nickname)

Are you joining ArtFight this year?
21 days, 9 hours ago
Unfortuantely my motivation for ArtFight is as lost as the dust in the wind, so I don't think there's a high chance of me joining the entire event. In fact, I already lost my interest as I lack the duty of art attacking people, therefore it puts lots of stress in my mental health. Art trades are acceptable though, so I wouldn't mind any at all in case I can be able to draw anyone's character!

Have you ever made any anime-style OCs? (E. G. Inspired by Dragon Ball, One Piece, Pokémon, etc)
1 month, 9 days ago
Great question! Short answer is no, but in relation when it comes to Pokémon OCs, I'd say pretty much so! I often tried my best to make Terrier and Gnawbag have the same style as what the main Pokémon artists do when it comes to appearances, and I pretty much love that franchise a lot! Sure, I'm no kinds of master of knowing much about the game, but I've grown to it in my heart as a kid and I became a huge fan of every Pokémon on the list
I'm still thinking of drawing a Crawdaunt OC for the first time.. they're still one of my favorites!

I'm still definitely in the midst of my mood wanting to do the rest, so expect to see more of the fanart coming along ^^

Does any of your OCs have any cool powers?
3 months, 1 day ago
Sometimes they do, other times they don't. While all of my characters are most likely without powers, some do have their ability to either create, manage or do whatever it takes to show their control all by themselves; for example, Blugon can fly with wings, Hopper can jump higher but can most likely have a little low on gravity while landing (think of it like a Luigi movement style!), Kanialka using his floating sword to attack his opponents, so on and so forth..
However, that still doesn't mean all powers are meant to be without them! If anything when I do plan on writing their descriptions about their abilities, they'll be seen for which one's available here and there.

How do you make your art so expressive, cartoony and vivid? I love it so much! (It oddly reminds me of Mixels, due to the fact that they also have a cartoonish style)
3 months, 4 days ago
That's actually a great question! As somebody who's been a kid in previous years, I've done lots that shows the obsession of drawings and its pressure of motivation, and knowing myself it's quite simple to answer; lots of practices, effort, improvement and everything had to be taken in an artistic feeling to make the expressions about characters feel more cartoony and feel like they're living beings. Without the personalities, nothing would've felt the same and things would be quite dull and empty - but when it comes to a solution in mind, we have to prepare what's best for us to tell the story above the horizon.
Sometimes I often like to make the colors either feel natural or colorful, and sometimes I like to choose what kind of palettes would it be. Whether or not whatever fits them is up to a decision, and if the palette is the right thing to finalize; it's something you gotta be proud of! Not all colors can be perfect of course, however mixing and twisting them up and forth can be quite fun to mess around with.
As for the styles, I can absolutely see where you're coming from! Mixels is one of my favorite childhood shows and seeing as some characters might have its own recognizable artstyle or lineart inspired by it can make things feel more wacky and fun. If anything, making art about your characters or anything else related to them is something that you wouldn't want to forget how important it is to show lots of love of your entire hard work.
I'd say in my little own tip of the iceberg from the skies; take what's best found from the sources either on the internet or IRL (for example, common and wild animals like dogs/cats or crocodiles/alligators, any objects like trash cans or a toy robot. You can also search anything about any fictional characters too), try to mash them up as a character, find any artstyles that suits you the most (personally I like with or without lineless, however I'd like to twist things up by also learning different ones) or find any childhood shows or cartoons that you understood where it came from; do whatever, whenever! Creativity is unlimited and that's what is the coolest for all of us existing artists.

It's worth the pleasure drawing one of your Kartoon character (haha! get it?). This was the moment where I'd be able to draw someone's character on Toyhouse like you for the first time, so hopefully I'd get to do more of yours and for the others, too!
