Okay, first question: can I comment on drawings individually? If so, how? (Sorry, I'm used to thinking in DeviantArt terms...)

I'm not sure about a 101 page, unfortunately - most of what I know has been from poking and trial and error. (There's a few gotchas I ran into regarding privacy levels, if you want to know.)
For commenting on art, yes there is!!! If you click on an art, there should be a little button to post a comment underneath the description area, right under the picture. I can grab a screenshot if needed.
