Is very loud, mostly because she's excited to know Taiki's dad! She bombards him with questions, and sometimes seeks advice on taking care of kittoms. Mostly she tries to give him styling tips or brings him random accessories she made out of trinkets she found. That and she loves popping in for visits, kittoms in tow!
Ryōichi is still trying his best to get used to Velia as she is his daughter in law but he finds her to be....loud. She's vibrant and outspoken so he doesn't have to guess what's on her mind. Even more so he sees how wonderful she is with the grandchildren and shooting down Taiki's more terrible plans so he's grateful in that regard.
Overall, he thinks he just needs time to grow used to her personality before he fully is able to accept her as a daughter.
"Grandpa??!?" Usually the first thing from Valentine's mouth when he knows the older elnin is around. He trusts him a lot more for information than he trusts his parents (his mom specifically). Despite Valentine's adventurous nature, he is content to sit quietly with his grandpa, but only his grandpa! Though he isn't verbal with his admiration, Valentine will often sit next to Ryoichi and try to mimic his postures and actions. Even drinking tea, which he tends to only see as hot leaf juice.
Ryōichi was unsure of his grandchildren at first as he was not positive they would get along. However, spending time with them has made the older Elnin feel much younger. He tries his best to teach them things that he's learned and tell them stories of the regions he's been to--a bit to his sons displeasure--he often takes over the nightly story these days.
He's very content to watch his legacy in the bright eyes of the kittoms and hopes he can see what they become.
Felix often complains how he misses how quite things were before Hailey came back home but he hardly means it. His usual isolated reading time is often interrupted by her pounces and chattering but he tries his best to hide the comfort her presence brings him. Her long talks about magic and space are fascinating and she's one of the few he leaves his books around unattended as he trusts her with them.
Though they are still young kittoms, he'd know he'd do anything to protect his little sister and the things she cares about.
Hailey loves her brother, and finds every reason to sneak up on him, if she can. As strange as it is she is fascinated by the star shape on his face so will sometimes try to pounce him so she can stare into it. (Mostly because she can guess it annoys him.) She tries to talk to him about magic and space, but is never really sure how he feels about it.
Atlas is already weak willed for his kittoms but something about the bubbly personality of Hailey just sways him into letting her off the hook more then he should. He can still be stern with her sometimes like the others but she seems so full of wonder he doesn't have the heart to be to serious with her for to long.
Whenever she holds on to his tail for free rides, he pretends not to see her, happy to go about his day and work with her close by and show her what he does all day. Like the others, he has big hopes that she'll travel the regions just like her siblings.
PAPA! Hailey is usually quiet around her father, opting to cling to his tail and try to ride it without him knowing, being so lightweight. Though she does her best to be a good bean, she has no shame in making big-doe eyes (not the mutation) at him, in an attempt to avoid trouble.
Silvanus had always been fascinated by the way Cressida thinks but it wasn't until she went into the mortal realm did he really understand she was different from a lot of the unicorns. She seemed to love mortals and though he didn't agree, he supported her choice to leave the realm for mortals.
Now, some of his favorite moments with Cressida is when she returns to the Glade for warm tea and late night conversations as she tells him stories of what's beyond the veil they live in. He may not agree with all of her practices or how close she is to them but he values her friendship to much to send her away.
Colleagues in their youth, there was a brief romance between them as teenagers but that time was long ago. They are far better off as friends and this is something they both agree on which makes Cressida grateful as she appreciates his support and presence. He's one of the things she misses the most from the Glade but she's always glad to visit him and tell him about her travels.
Thea was never sure why her and Cressida didn't have ground when she was younger but she assumed it was on the age gap between them and the role of importance Cressida was in. After she returned from the humans, she was quite the mess but Cressida was the one who comforted her and tried to convince her not all mortals were the same. Though it is a topic they still argue over, the two grew close through lessons and time in the Glade to the point Thea took over the Glade from her.
Sad to see a close friend leave, she still seeks her out for advice, comfort, and long conversations when she really needs someone who understands her. Cressida always seems available when she needs her most even though she's absent most of the time and Thea tries not to admit she sees her as nearly an older sister.
Cressida is very proud of Amalthea and considers her a great protector of the Glade in her place. The two of them were mildly close before Thea ended up in the human world but it was not until she returned did they really grow close. Soon, she taught her to take the mantel from her and now she visits and gives advice when Thea searches out for her though she mostly lives in the mortal realm now.
She considers her a deep friend and wishes the very best for her but she no longer feels like she belongs in the Glade with everyone else.
Kaori loves to follow her grandfather around, asking questions about where he's visited and the things he's learned. He seems like an older version of her father so she finds comfort in him and his even toned voice when he explains things. She hopes he'll always be able to give her ideas and stories and she's glad he's a part of the family again!

At first, Taiki hadn't given much thought to why his parents hadn't raised him themselves and knew it was just the way things were. Though he'd never sought them out, he always imagined they had been on grand adventures or had important roles in some other region. When he finally did cross paths with his father and found out he was just a wanderer much like he was as a kittom, he was furious at first.
Time has passed now however and he's forgiven the Elnin for not taking him along with him and he tries his best to take his fathers lessons and lectures to heart. He's more excited to show off his family and tells his stories of adventure then sit quietly and apricate nature with his father but he still apricates the time and effort Ryōichi is putting in.
Though Ryōichi had not seen his son since he was a small kittom, he was glad when they once again crossed paths. Not only had Taiki grown to be a great Elnin always on adventures--he'd started a family along the way.
He tries his best to give his son some of his wisdom but the boy seems a bit more hard headed then he remembers him being. Sometimes they get into arguments over morals and rights and wrongs but overall, he's trying his best to get close with his son again and have a relationship with him after his absence in raising him.
