Been a while since I last made a bulletin, but I am still live and well. 

Discussion has now died down a bit, but I'm still curious in y'alls thoughts :-)

I've had a great time on palworld the game was definitely more fun than any of the more recent pokemon games, but how do y'all feel about the deisgns? 

It's quite a disappointment since i'd say 80% of the designs are unique and interesting, but then you get into the category of designs that didn't recieve as much love. 

I'm more curious in how you guys feel about the game/designs?

8/12/2023 update ~ yes still working on it, started making a story with a friend! Definitely will be releasing it past my goal date, but it is still in wip :-))

Sorry for all the updates: for those not interested, but I hope there will only be 1-2 more bulletins before everything is up and working! I will return to drawing more furries still ofc.

I have decided the exploration map will be a made and abyss and Pokémon mystery dungeon styled arpg! 

(note I don't support the creator or content of MIA, but I don't wish to claim the abyss story element as my own (because it clearly isn't))

I reached finished drawing all the pre-evolutions and some bonus Pokémon from generations 1-3 within a week and a half. I think I might put a pause on finishing all of them just to see how the map goes out. 

I want to make my own generation after since designing my own Pokémon is fun and I probably should of just made one completely original generation instead of doing all of them.

Anyways those interested in looking into the map I plan on having 2 exploration sections, one for people who joined the arpg and ones who haven't.

With that all in mind, I'm unsure whether I should get mods/people to help me with events and story writing? For now I might look for a writer for the arpg since I want it to follow a semi concise story line? (my writing is ass) 

That is just a though I am not completely sure what/where I want to take this since I know managing inventories/quest will be a little rough for me while I'm back in school. 

Maybe it'll be a summer thing? But I'd feel bad doing all this work for it to go out so quickly, but I don't want to deliver on false promises since I usually get tired of projects :(( 

Anyways suggestions/ideas are greatly appreciated. 

So far I plan on having a structured story line where there will be weekly quests that lead up to one major story before deciding where to go from there. 

Just curious to how many ppl here study art fundamentals.

They are made from a character randomizer - something that I made with scratch so I dont have to make a lot of designs by myself and I have more designs to hide.

Feel free to recommend pokemon you'd want to see in the exploration map (they will be hidden as free characters) , there is a good chance i'll get to them

I'm going to be pretty offline for the next week due to exams wish me luck   

As some already know, I am revamping the exploration map. 

Here are the main changes 

1) I'm only going to update it on scheduled 1 single day every week, be it, Friday or Saturday so I don't waste ppl's time + looking will be easier and more organized. 

2) I plan on completely revamping a bunch of species, but after thought, but I think it would be more fun if I just used Pokémon designs to revamp it since a lot of people are already more attached to the designs, plus I enjoy drawing them anyways ^^ I will just take a lot more time to set up the random design generators

Still using scratch to to generate em. Here are some scrapped chicken designs for the og map, maybe there will be better uses later. 

I ran out of most of my characters in the og map.

+ (thoughts on closed species latley! Completely unrelated, just still curious to see people's thoughts on em lately ^^ last time everyone had really good insight + I enjoy reading your comments)

I'm definitely late to the party when it comes to the ramblings of ai art, but I am still very curious about people's opinions on it.

I know people have already come out with defenses talking about how our only hope is that there are restrictions put in place when it comes to using people's artwork, but from the looks of it companies are already profiting off using other peoples art.

Look at DeviantArt for example. They already have an ai generating art section for core members!? They are putting it behind a very clear pay wall. It especially sucks since DA is a platform that "supports artists" 

In addition other ai generating bots have features where you pay to generate more images or generate them more efficiently. It is very clear that any artists properties are not safe as long as it has been posted online. 

I am very much amazed by how far the technology as come by someone who is going into computer science, I've tested them to generate ideas and prompts for my own art. At the end of the day though, it definitely looks bleak for those who wish to create and make a living off art.

personally not a fan of most of the designs which is really disappointing. They don't feel like pokemon   There are still a few I like tho

Just out of curiosity tho, how do you guys feel about toyhouse in general? I personally like the site regardless of them pulling my post (I'm salty) - but I've heard a lot of complaints from ppl who use the site/ppl taking a break from the site ^^ 

I assume yall already heard of the new clip studio updates where they plan on making it a monthly purchase 💀 

As someone who loves clip studio and recommended it to so many people - ain't no way I'm paying monthly for something like that, anyone have opinions on it?
