Welcome to the world of the Writers, where a select few souls pull the strings behind the scenes and create timelines of all sorts.  Often these powerful beings wreck havock on the unlimited potential timelines have to offer.  Just because they're in charge of keeping everything in order doesn't mean things don't happen and mistakes aren't made.

Russel is the leader of the Writers, put in charge of sorting all the messes his recruits make... but still the recruits are nessassary.  With infinite universes, parallel worlds, and timelines it's too much for one being to track.  And so he finds the most overpowered characters created and keeps them under his watchful gaze within the Dreamscape, where even if they cause trouble they will not become the most ruthless or dangerous of criminals within their own worlds.
