Okay, so I'm assuming you're gonna first want to figure out how to post characters if you haven't already. Up at the top is 'submit', where you can (obviously) submit characters in the drop down menu.
After clicking 'new character', you'll be asked to fill in information such as the character's name, tags associated with the character, what folder you want it to be in (if any), and what avatar you want your character to be represented by. Below that will be credits to the design, where you can select yourself as the creator, type in a link to the creator, or type in an on-site creator (so just their username). Here you can also specify rules for the character if transferred to a new owner or if the character can, in fact, be transferred.
Then ignore the rest and click 'Create character'.
When you get to this point, it will bring you to the character's profile, which you can edit at any time by clicking 'edit character' or add images to their image gallery by clicking 'upload image'.
You can edit folders, tags, characters, designs, and images under your username in the top right corner, where a dropdown screen will be shown. Said editable features are under the 'manage' tab. To edit your profile, you have to click 'inbox'. This is also where you log out and can send PMs (I'm assuming -I haven't tried.)
If you want to comment/post anything 'in character', that's the sliding box at the top of the comment. It will then bring up 'select character' and 'select image', and you can post like I have with Corky for example. Otherwise, your comment just appears like any other comment.
To feature a character, you can favorite a character of yours by going into that character's profile and clicking favorite. Your most recently favorited character that's yours appears in the featured character slot on your profile.
No problem! Also, I forgot to mention: if you go to the bottom of the site, there's the links About FAQ HelpDesk Rules TOS and Search. Search is awesome and allows you to search through others' characters using tags. It's a fun way to pass time if you're bored.
