Atticus invites Nattie and Thalia to the opening night performance of his latest play. Thalia traverses the crowded halls of the theater in search of him afterwards, and the eccentric angel greets her with proud enthusiasm. In the middle of their pleasant exchange, a wispy-haired demon—introduced by Atticus as Moxie—is tasked with retrieving the angel for something work-related, but gets caught up in the flow of conversation instead.
Natalia visits a bookstore in the Celestial city and gets indecisive about her potential reading material. In the midst of her thinking, a stranger comes up behind her with a little sketch of her in tow. The two of them decide to form a friendship and bond over their shared interest in art.

Natalia sobs to herself, and during her aching for warmth, turns to her imagination as a distraction. Regardless of the relief it brings her, the bliss is merely temporary. The angel lays alone and ponders her insecurities with no one but herself for company in this hour.
