Shade’s mini me, as Jersey calls him. Robin LOVES visiting Shade. He thinks he’s the fun uncle and is always eager to hear stories from him.
Robin is Shade's nephew, and Shade absolutely dotes on him. Shade loves spending time with Robin and his sister whenever Jersey brings them over to visit.
Dante has a habit of adopting kids. It’s just who he is. Shade is a big part of his life, just as the rest of his kids are. Dante is extremely proud of Shade and is grateful to him for looking after Mayfair after his death.
Dante is Shade's adopted father, and whilst he was alive the two god on swimmingly - although shade has always been a mother's boy the two spent a lot of time together when Shade was a young fledgling, and Shade misses him dearly.
Jersey and Shade have been thick as thieves for as long as anyone can remember. The sassy trapper was always there to stand up for him and give him encouragement when he needed it. She often jokes that her son, Robin, is Shade’s mini me.
Jersey is Shade's big sister and they've both been close since he was young, Jersey is looking out for him all the time, which shade massively appreciates. He's ecstatic that Jersey has found someone she loves to settle down with after the horrors of the war, but does wish she would have chosen, literally any shire but shallowshire
Shade is Galahad’s biggest inspiration in the Mediator division. He loves spending time with his big brother and likes his way of teaching. It’s a lot easier for him to understand sometimes.
Shade is Galahad's big brother, and being the baby of the family (and a crybaby), ends up being the one out of shade's remaining league siblings that he spends the most time with. Both are part of the mediator division, and Shade spends lots of time with Galahad helping him with his studies.
May has adored Shade ever since she first took him in. In her eyes, he’s her son, regard of what anyone says. His endless support means a lot to her and she does worry about him a lot.
Mayfair is Shade's adoptive mother, and the two have always been extremely close. Shade is absolutely a mother's boy, and is inseparable from May, especially after Dante's untimely death during the war. Shade spends a lot of his time doing his best to keep Mayfair's spirits up and making sure she's alright, as well has helping out with his little siblings.
Brindlestride and Fogstar first met on the battlefield, long before the massacre, and both have the scars to remember it by (in Brindle's case, the long one almost bisecting his face). However once the Shires united under the aim of protecting themselves from the league the two became fast friends - post war the two remained firm friends, and Fogstar a source of support for Brindlestride as he did his best to raise his four adopted children alone.
Darkbreeze is Brindlestride's adopted daughter, and he loves her to bits. Brindle has always doted on her, but especially since Dark was the one to take the death of her father - Dodger - during the war so hard. Mainly thanks to Brindleflower, a lakeshire queen who'd been his mate and Dark's step mother. The woman had told Dark to her face that she was responsible for her biological father's death (as the man had died protecting Dark - a toddler at the time). When Brindlestride found out he was absolutely furious, and had more than a few strong words for the woman. Brindle worries about Dark a lot, especially in regards to her often nasty and bullying behavior towards others her age. When Darkbreeze and Willowtalon eventually became friends as apprentices and earned their warrior names Brindlestride was immeasurably proud, and relieved that Darkbreeze seemed to be recovering after Brindleflower's abuse.
Sagecrest can clearly see that Crimsonleaf holds strong feelings of disliking towards him. But he has little care about her opinions. He has no incentive to try and befriend her, or even approach her to start with. As long as she doesn't try to get between him and Weaselfoot then he will leave her be.
Crimsonleaf greatly dislikes Sagecrest and is highly critical of him. She doesn't trust a hair on his body and isn't too pleased with him being Glintpaw's mentor.
Flamestrike is sorry not to be able to stay by her daughter's side in the world of the living. She is however, thrilled to know that Owlkit has a connection to the borderless land and likely will try to at least reunite with her ever-so-often.
Owlkit greatly misses Flamestrike and wishes that she could have known her better. Her nightly stargazing came about in the hopes that it would bring her closer to her mother.
Sagecrest sees Weaselfoot as his closest friend and the one cat he could trust with anything.
Despite their troubles, Weaselfoot views Sagecrest as one of his closest friends. He's pleased with the progress his friend has made in fitting back into the Clan.
Azurepaw not only loves his father but admires his warrior skills. He aims is to best Weaselfoot in being a good warrior to see the look that would be on his dad's face.
Weaselfoot loves his son greatly and is extremely proud of him. He keeps close tabs on Azurepaw's training and is happy to see how well he's doing.
Azurepaw loves his sister as much of the rest of his family. Despite his trouble picturing in his mind what she has been through he aims to stick out for her...even if he has trouble not overanalysizing emotional situations.
Glintpaw is grateful to Azurepaw for his loyalty. She feels closer to him than their sister, Minkpaw, due to him staying by her side during a difficult time in her life.
Burningpaw's feelings to her adoptive mother aren't nearly as strong as those she holds for Ripplegaze but she still loves Fogstar as if the she-cat had been her real parent.
Fogstar simply adores Burningkit, just as she does with the rest of her kits. Even with her duties keeping her from spending more time with her, she still tries to give her as much love and attention as she can.
Sagecrest is no longer afraid of the cat who once haunted his nightmares as an apprentice. A much scarier being has replaced him.
In the meantime Sagecrest is getting to meet and befriend *coughcoughletskeepitatgoodfriends* the rest of Dante's family.
Dante only vaguely acknowledges Sagecrest's existence these days. Better to leave the past behind him now.
